AUG: LRBHO, adjustable gas, but awful trigger. FS2000: adjustable gas, but no LRBHO, poor trigger. G36: LRBHO but no adjustable gas ('self regulating,' same design and same problems as the 416 suppressed). AKs and Galil: no LRBHO, retrofit adjustable gas block or KNS piston that require takedown Tavor: 4 MOA
That seems to leave the Daewoo K2: adjustable gas, takes AR triggers, LRBHO, folding stock. So why aren't these more popular as the closest thing to a SCAR 16? Is there some big downside I'm missing?
Other than being slightly old, there isn't anything much wrong with the K2. The one complaint I see is the charging handle, however, it doesn't seem like people are criticizing on the AK too much for that and with its bolt hold open I don't think many people would care. I think the biggest problem is lack of adoption, resulting in lack of aftermarket parts, etc. If the civilian market in the US could get hold of a lot more K2s, I'm sure there would be a lot more parts from the US and maybe some SOF would use it, probably not.

The K1A1 should be imported as a pistol but no one has asked ST Motiv for them
Sebastian Young
Also, I think if we could've gotten the F90 from Thales/EF88 then that would be the perfect rifle for infantry and cool for us larpers. Accurate, short, customizable, and long barrel.
Sucks that simply because of the Christchurch mosque killings they stopped the civilian exports.

Not even memeing

with the neutrigger and KM lightening my fs2000 trigger is pretty good.
I think it's hilarious that the FAL and the daewoo are the only semi rifles in that picture that could quick attach a suppressor without being taken apart first.
The HK roller locks could function stock, but there will be too much energy when the suppressor on, causing the bolt to bottom out and push the rollers out sideways, denting the receiver rails. To safely run suppressed, a 36 degree locking piece is needed in the G3. But it will be anemic unsuppressed and eventually stop as it gets dirty. So you have to take the gun apart like an AK but worse to switch suppressed and suppressed.
Brody Campbell
Well he asked why they’re not popular.
Hunter Flores
As cringey as sig is, just admit it. If someone else came up with it and the modularity and the market support internally you would all be cumming hot sticky buckets on your keyboards
SIG 55x won't work because it only has 2 gas settings, clean and dirty, and the first is already overgassed suppressed.
I guess the ARX-100 fits the bill. Also the K&M M17S
Seeing as the MCX also gets it on paper, is there something that makes it a meme? SIG USA quality control?
Hudson Gray
To this...
In a few seconds with the same upper and bolt in either 5.56 and 300bo.
>adjustable gas block >folding stock >suppresor ready >the virtus supports 300 and 5.56, original even more calibers. >barrel length from 7 inch to 16 inch.
I own one, bought it as a meme and was pleasantly surprised. I wouldn't pay MSRP, but at the right price it's one hell of a rifle and as a premium sig USA product it shows.
>numerous military units and police units have started using it in full auto config and semi auto only config. Jow Forums still shits on it cuz SIG.
Juan Hernandez
They’re not popular because Bush Sr the faggot banned them and Clinton the faggot banned the Daewoo DR 200 in the 90s.
Thomas Wright
so basically the new brownells rifle. yea its pretty hot.
Julian Torres
have you heard of the legend of ron cohen?
Aaron Thomas
so basically a shittier lmt except the lmt can do both piston and DI The folding stock feature is nice though.
Aiden Richardson
what does Christchurch have to do with Australia?
Asher Taylor
he’s not wrong. The faggots at Lithgow said They weren’t importing it to stop mass shootings.
Hunter Cruz
ever heard of POF?
Jeremiah Adams
Pof?

No one here asked about suppressors, do you have mild autism?

AUG trigger is fine Bad trigger is a meme No one Ive ever let shoot mine, including multiple Jow Forumsommandos has said anything negative

Oh you forgot the ar18, remember theyre out again like the new one brownells came up with. Get your chink shit outta our face

It is a bit mushy

VZ58 is still the best piston ar - 7.62x39 or 5.56 variants - available for $1k new in US - good aftermarket support - RS Regulate mounts, Zhukov stock adapter - weighs 6lbs - can take both 30 rounders and 10 round stripper clips - no gas to face with suppressor use - ar mag adapters for 5.56 - gun Jesus approved - ar safety - solid triggers
Are you sure you dont, since you can grasp the first line of his post, nor the progression of conversation. It was an observation
Julian Ramirez
I seethe every time i see the VZ58. Its a constant reminder of how ass backwards are laws can be.
John Jenkins
Atlantic Firearms carries them and they restock them all the time, saving up for one rn. You just have to have it delivered to your local FFL. It doesn’t cost much more than a meme C93.
Aiden Jenkins
Assuming you’re not a Eurofag...I mean they’re even available in Canada lmao
James Flores
I am talking about how the AK and AR 15 are banned despite guns that accomplish the same goal and even look similar are not. Its retarded and should be changed. Preferably where both become available to PAL carriers.
Ryan Wright
Good luck man, the browning of North America will only progress and the politicians more cucked. And this is coming from a Cuban lol. We’re gonna be left with bolt action .243’s in the next 20 years unless we all migrate to Alaska.
Owen Kelly
The shooter was an aussie and thales is a bunch of limp wristed faggots

Good thing we learned this before we all went and bought some Lithgow’s. If only I’d been redpilled before I bought a Tavor lol.

I just wanna larp innawoods too. We failed our boogaloo against the socialists once, I wanna die making sure you don’t have to as well. Accept me whitey.

Modularity makes sense for militaries because it simplifies logistics if all of your weapons share common parts. But it's just silly for civilian arms because each component costs nearly as much as a new gun and nobody actually ever reconfigures their shit after the novelty wears off.
Zachary Thompson
Not us WA folks that refuse to get the rifle permit. I'm stuck with what I got which is why I got the MCX. I'll SBR it and have modularity while not needing to get a permit. Now I could also go different uppers and I will for my AR15s, but it's just one more trick up my sleeve if they then ban uppers but not replacement barrels.
Josiah Young
I will accept you.
Leo Hughes
Thank you fren, now how the fuck can we launch a rebellion without being massacred, labeled domestic terrorists and becoming absolute memes?
Eli Parker
Ask those guys the RCMP literally let escape. Twice.
Dominic Reyes
Daewoo K2’s are legit great sleeper rifles that I’ve had the pleasure of shooting once before. Everything about it felt solid, good trigger, and I was able to put a solid grouping on target immediately. Same ergos as an AR which is a plus.
Which brings me to the SCAR. SCAR’s are overrated and overpriced, simple as that. I cannot stand the stock on those things, and they are heavy. If you want to spend that type of money, you’re better off getting a SIG.. or just better off building yourself a nice piston AR with an optic.
The vz.58 is another rifle that sounds like I’d love, a true sleeper. I haven’t had the pleasure of shooting one, but everything I’ve heard about them sounds like they are quality.
K2's are innaccurate as fuck past 300 yards. Apparently all of you noguns don't seem to know this
Parker Phillips
Wish Korea could still send some new K2s over.
Jose Bell
Remember when those were $400 with 5 mags
Jackson Gray
That's not how accuracy works, and it's a fucking service rifle
Daniel Hall
this guy has no idea what he is talking about. even with PMC factory 223, I have seen ROK soldiers hit human sized steel targets consecutively at 800 meters or 870 yards.
the real reason why the k2 is not as popular is because its hard to export and the ones that did get exported did get virtually no marketing.
they were sold as the dr 200. and there were many versions available even one in a 7.62x39 variant. however it took bad rep because at the time in the U.S. daewoo was a terrible car manufacturing company which also took a bad name and rep for being pieces of shits.
IIRC it was mechanically possible to use FN FNC auto sears into SCARs, but the ATF said that even though the auto sear was the registered NFA component, it could only be legally used in an FNC and not a SCAR.
