Is the original uzi still practical in the modern-day?

Was it ever especially practical? It's ok but there are much better options, even in its heyday

MP5 masterrace checking in

not really. sub guns are sort of out of fashion in favor of stuff like 300 blackout, and even if they weren't, a steel chassis open bolt blowback is not making HK or B&T sweat

They are very practical for accidentally gunning down 3 latino children as collateral damage in a drive by. Other than that. Not really.

better guns exist now

Like most post-ww2 SMGs, they'd be excellent HD weapons. In theory anyway.

Eh not really, super fun in fa and i should be allowed to have one for less than 12,000

Has been and continues to be. Are there better options? Sure, doesn't mean it's worthless.

My grandpa says your grandpa needs to learn some trigger discipline before his Parkinsons murders the neighbors.

>Was it ever especially practical?
This. I owned one of the legal Uzi "carbines" with the 16" barrel and folding stock for a very short time-- it was a piece of shit. It was a heavy chunk of steel that was fussy with mags and ammo, and would throw a pattern about 5X the size that I could shoot at 50 feet with any handgun I owned at the time. It looked cool, but was hot garbage on the range.

>accidentally

>yfw the 80s gots them 80s guns
>gramps OG killa here making ATF shit

i'm hoping that's what i see: an open bolt FA mac 11 and street sweeper with flash hider

It's over 80YO even the MP5 is a better gun

>TFW YWN be as based as this old grandpa in the 80s

Yeah

It has a grip safety, no

Masterkey shotgun concept, but reversed

That shit didn't exist in the 80s, ya safety Sally. NDing a few times in your life was par for course as well, even in the suburbs (what little there was). Ahhhhhh. Good times.

dah ooozzie nan mhillamitah?

Depends on the parameters. I mean it's still an effective short range self defense gun against non-armored targets but as a military or police arm it's been superseded by newer firearms.

It'll still do the job but in a manner that is less effective than it's modern counterparts

The same could be said of of the Sten or PPSH.

If you knew you were going into urban combat and you were given the selection of;

1. A semi automatic pistol.
2. A sub machine gun.
3. An intermediate caliber select fire rifle.

You'd be silly to pick anything other than #3

yes

Can you practically mount a red dot or weapon light on that bitch? Can you do it with modern wares like m lok or dickmod? No, then no faggot fuck off.
