Feeling a little sentimental tonight as I’m cleaning up the guns.
7 guns later, here she is. Always said I’d get a 1911 as my first gun. Taurus baby! And it’s been a solid pistol. I’m glad that it seems to have been the best choice as far as budget goes. My friend’s RIA ended up with him having him sending it back to them twice. No issues here for 1000+ rds. Ayyyy.
My first gun I got on my 16th (or 17th?) birthday was a Remington 870. I definitely had a lot of fun with it then, but I haven't shot it in years. I always preferred rifle and pistol.

My first gun ever was a $80 dollar M38 Nagant. I’ll never forget walking into this old gun shop with my grandad and just being fascinated with all of the mil surps in crates and hanging on the walls. I was a youngster then, but if I had been older with money that place was a literal treasure trove. This was in the surplus glory days. Damn I wish I could go back so bad and buy everything in that store.
Nathaniel Morgan
$150 on sale at the time, wish I bought 2 of them do it would be like the Killing Floor 2 gunslinger.
My first gun was an ar-15, back when companies wouldn't sell them to civilians, and we had a list of 15 stores Willing to transfer off list lowers in CA.
Locally milled by the company that did Colt lowers

My first technical firearm was an Anderson lower I bought from some guy in a walmart parking lot. Never ended up putting it together until I got a real job and then I dropped an AAC .300 upper with a KAC URX rail on it, still have it.
My first gun period was a Gen 3 Glock 23. I was naive back then and actually bought the "muh forty is the best of both worlds" lie. I sold it and have never looked back. As far as I'm concerned, 13 rounds of anything short of .45 in a G19-sized gun is ridiculous. My P229 holds 13 rounds of .357 SIG in a smaller package. My P320 holds 17 rounds of 9mm in the same size. How Glock manages to stuff 10 rounds of .45 in the G30 but doesn't see anything wrong with the G23's magazine capacity is bizarre to me. Good lord that gun was a steaming pile of shit.
I still hope its new owner treated it well, though.

>tfw turned 18 right as the nugget purge happened and every boomer in the world was buying crates to resell for $700 "Sporterized" in archangel stocks on Armslist life is suffering
Dylan Ross
Nice LARP, boomer.
Christian Carter

This namefag has been posting in every thread. I'm convinced he's actually 50 years old
Juan Brown
I dont doubt that, but there was never a point in time where ARs were barred from civilians.

When I got my Eagle Scout Badge when I was 17, my uncle gave me a .270 Remington 700.
Isaiah Rivera
Marlin Model 60. Bought it as a Christmas gift for myself when I turned 18. Still shoot it often, my favorite rifle I own.
Easton Barnes
PX4 Storm. In .40. Ended up being a blessing, got into guns during the Sandy panic and you couldn't find anything except buckshot and .40 cal.
XD45 Compact. A shit ton of custom work done by Robar. The guy who owned it before put more money into the custom shit than the gun cost. would buy again/10 felt great in hand and was very accurate and ate everything I fed it. I was poor as fuck and moved to the hood while in school and needed something.

Those Taurus 1911s are pretty sweet, especially for the money
Chase Cruz

My grandfather gave me his Remington 94 and Ithica 37 he used for hunting in Alaska when I was 13. He was given three months to live and wanted to teach me how to shoot before he died. Its been ten years and he is still alive and moving. I drove him up to his old cabin to fix the roof and do yard work yesterday. He is 95 and still cut the lawn himself with a tractor. I love him so much and am terrified I will be to far away to help him when I go back to college.
Aw. That’s sweet. I was tempted to be a little bit sarcastic for a second but it’s a treasure when we can live alongside our grandparents and still learn from and love them.

Lol I swear I’ve seen this before. That’s awesome. Patch from kommandostore?

>1988, age 18, scrimp & save every spare cent I had for almost a year to fulfill a 2 yr dream owning an Hk91 >answer ad for one that was asking $750 CAD >go to home of seller >find out it was actually a rare (to Canada) Hk93A1 of 1982 manufacture in near mint shape >no claw mount marks, scratches, etc >barrel clear with low round count >essentially a safe queen
In my ignorance I thought it was a big let-down as I really wanted it's big brother, the '91. Seller was an older guy who said he thought it was an Hk91. On my way over he found a 40 & a 5 round mag, bipod & military carry strap & offered to throw it all in for an xtra $50.
I laugh now but I -reluctantly- paid for it all because I really had my heart set on a '91. Real quick I had a change of heart & fell in love with it. I babied it & used the Hk91 I eventually bought almost a year later as my main rifle. Lost my '93 in 2013. My heart pines for it every time I see a G3 thread on here or look at pictures of them online.

All the hate aside this gun was released when I was in middle school and I waited 8 years to buy one when I turned 21(Texas). My very first handgun I’ve owned lots of rifles though. I never believed I would own one.
first gun i got was a marlin model 60 to this day i dont like tube fed mags but i still keep it for sentimental reasons
Josiah Bennett
Savage .22lr, tube fed. Dad bought it for me on my 12th birthday. Still my go to 22 rifle after 20 years

>1858 with 5.5 inch barrel spooky cowboy ghost gun, wooooooo Thinking about getting a .45 Long Colt adapter.
Jose Mitchell
My first and only gun. Not much of a shooter, but I made it just in case. Something that I'll have for a long time and in the closet in case I ever need it.
My first pistol was cap n ball colt. It shot fast as lightning, but it loaded a bit slow.
Carter Sanchez
cherish him and cherish the guns he passed on to you. Take him out shooting if you can.
Justin Wilson
smith and wesson model 65. It was broken with timing issues and a weak hammer and instead of sending it to smith and wesson the fudd boomer store owner had me pay him to send it to a lcoal gunsmith and 4 FUCKING WEEKS later I got it back and it still had the same issues. Then he yelled at me in front of everyone in the store for bringing it back because it was broken and he wouldnt accept a trade, so I threatened to sue him over 50 dollars for sending it to the gunsmith and it still coming back unfixed. So this ancient fuck takes it in the back to look at it and I told everyone in the store what he was doing, then he came out and said he would only give me half my money back. If I didnt want to get into shooting so badly I probably would have stopped right there
It was like 2008 when Californians could buy ar-15s again and nobody would ship you a full gun
Was a big deal when m&p15 California came out
Because it was the first brand other than stag arms to agree to 10 round magazine and prince50 bullet button from the factory
Isaiah Ortiz
Yeah
Brayden Hall
My first gun I take from dead hands of father. Fuck you piece of shit.

AR15s were perfectly legal. They just had to be ban compliant. Basically they couldn't have a flash hider or bayo lug. Go to be Kiddo, mom wants you to go to church in the morning.
Gavin Turner
