Probably around 200ish. I’ll usually play the wind and get closer. Their eyes aren’t great, so I can often walk closer to them, even in open fields

What is a good brand of suppressor? For what it's worth, I was thinking Surefire because the gun I have has a Surefire WarComp so there wouldn't be any additional muzzle device installation.

Get decent irons now and take your time deciding on your RDS and mount.

Surefire does make good suppressors, if you aren't worried about actual noise reduction.

I’d recommend a BCM 16” Midlength upper with an MCMR handguard, lower of your choice.

I got buffoniboi's Mod 0 when I ordered my upper years ago. Honestly, not sure if it does much, but I've shot other ARs and come to the humble conclusion that unless you're doing some serious competition work, you don't need a compensator or brake on your AR, it's already a very easygoing rifle.
Just get the A2.

Don't over spend and grab this upper with a toolcraft bcg and whatever ch and lower. Tell me how it is because it seems like a really good deal especially if you really want a clone.

It's worth pointing out that LMT's quick-change barrel system is largely a meme feature that adds weight and cost for a benefit few will use.

Ive got experience with the DSA m4gery uppers. They are slightly smaller gas port than PSA but still too fucking big for suppressor use. Performance on auto/binary is fine and I didnt notice any issues with it. I dont have any pics but I used a friends 16" DSA M4gery upper for a stand-in until I finished my colt upper.

If I'm building a pistol upper, should I go with an adjustable gas block? I don't have any plans for a suppressor but I want options for the future.

Not really sure what options you are thinking here beside a suppressor. I mean you could get a massive gas port and choke it down with an adjustable, then gradually as it fouls up you could just click more gas into the system. But that is sort of a waste.

It has the same thick anodizing that will smell awful after the first 10 racks. If I removed the logo off a PSA and handed you the PSA and DSA side by side you could not tell the difference by handling/just lookingat. The distance is apparent once shooting the thing but out of the box it doesnt ooze quality or anything

Hey could I conceivably buy an hk MR556 or MR762 and replace the upper with an integrated carry handle upper like you might have on older M16s? I know it would be a waste of money but just spitballin.
