You can learn a lot by asking specific questions around anywhere but it’s hard to find all that information in one place. Watch forgotten weapons to learn how guns operate and look up the specific guns you are shooting and what capabilities the cartridge you are shooting has. The difference in performance has to do with 1. What type of cartridge you are using and 2. What barrel you are shooting it with (length and accuracy).

Am I retarded for wanting a 6.5 Grendel bolt action? Mostly target shooting to 600yds, might do some whitetail hunting eventually. Seems like better ballistics than 308, rounds cost the same as 308 (25cpr for steel case, 60cpr for brass),better barrel life than 6.5CM, wont be used at 6.5CM ranges, and low recoil so the wife will actually learn to shoot. Feels like a slam dunk choice, but all I keep reading is it's a meme cartridge to fit the AR15 platform. Thoughts?
