Funny. My sister just told me yesterday that her store is paying to have its employees do some firearm training if they so desire. She even mentioned that employees with valid CCW permits were encouraged to carry so long as they took extreme precaution in keeping it concealed.

I'm a former walmart employee who worked in a few stores and had enough permissions to view department sales.

It's minimal, and a "legacy product" that stores carry for lack of better words. It's hardly even a fraction of a percent of a supercenter's retail. Maybe, a few hundred dollars per month if it was hot. The gun they sale aren't as appealing and can be bought less expensively from almost anywhere else. The prices aren't competitive and the selection is minimal. Ammo is a little different because they can undercut almost any local retailer's prices.

Grocery is always the number seller at a super center, and the highest grossing area in grocery is usually dry goods, followed by frozen/meat/dairy.

Same user here. Because I had to scrap my car. It was not worth fixing up. Until I can acquire a new vehicle, my choices are Walmart, Target, Lowe's, or a gas station that gets robbed every other week. All of them are in a one mile of where I live. Due to surprise medical expenses, I was unable to make a down payment for a newer vehicle. So that sets me back a good way.

If I didn't have those medical bills and a still had a working car, I'd still have that previous job. Working for AT&T selling rich yuppies their next piece of shit iPhone. But that is about an hour drive, one way. I refused to take a taxi or use uber, so I ended up letting the position go, and look for something much closer. Since then, my apartment decided to raise rent a few times, making it even harder to save up for that down payment. Life sucks, I just have to embrace it.
