Wow guys, who even need's automatic weapons with fire rates like these? Thanks to BBC for doing the research!
bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-41488081 I couldn't find/don't know how to do an archival link. The wayback machine doesn't have one that's up to date, because the BBC keeps updating this page over the months.
I would love to see someone get 20 rounds through an LCR in under a minute. I practice with mine all the time, and I sure haven’t been able to.
Wyatt Perry
> semi auto shoots faster than full auto My sides.
Also how the fuck is an AK and an AR gonna have different rates of fire if they're both semi auto? The only person who might be able to shoot fast enough for it to even matter would be Uncle Jerry.
Hunter Young
so does this mean I can git giggle switch?
Nathaniel Nelson
One has a coat hanger
Jordan Wood
>someone can shoot 1200 rounds in a fucking minute >semi auto >Auto is somehow less than semi auto
Lmao, why do they hate AR15s to such an extreme? If they modded it to be full auto, it's just an m16 and should have the exact same rate of fire. It's the same fucking guy. Wtf does "Modified" mean Also, where the fuck are you going to put 1200 rounds? If you're using standard mags you should be able to get more out of an AK in theory, because the mag size is bigger, so less mag changes
But there's a reason the M4 switched to 3 round bursts, emptying your magazine in 3 secs like a retard doesn't really help you much in a combat situation.
Xavier Torres
BBC is propaganda these days. You av a licence for that telli?
Ayden Miller
But they switched the m4 back to full auto with the m4a1.
Select-fire capabilities in a shoulder-fire rifle are barely used. Look up combat footage from the GWOT, people using rifles are firing semi-automatic, even in close quarters. Also M4A1 ditched the burst for full auto
Daniel Mitchell
That shit is pretty faggy.
Jace Bailey
Full auto is useful. An M4 or AK is not the ideal platform for this but ideally you have one guy with a minimi or RPK with you to provide suppressing fire. That said, it is also useful when busting doors, where you won't be using it for suppressing fire and don't need to worry about heat so much. This is why rifles that will be used in semi auto mode also retain an automatic feature. None of this even matters though because de facto banning full auto for civilian ownership is frankly, an illegal law in the first place.
Brayden Powell
Jesh. The news literally just makes shit up to get ignorant and scared people to vote accordingly.
>modified semi-auto AR-15 is able to put 1,200 rounds downrange in a fucking minute >AK can only put 120 Glorious Soviet weapon only need 120 loyal communist bullets. Dirty American Imperialists need 1,200 to get the job done.

>90% of the people voting for political candidates and policies have literally no fucking clue what the fuck they're talking about or who they're voting for Was democracy a mistake, bros?
>Slapping front dong and sight to wepon makes it shoot faster Banning misinformation would put leftists in deep shit but we all know how they started to use such thing.
Bolt weight and travel. Spring size. Blowback vs gas....
Jose Hall
Videos online of people racing real full autos with Binary trigger ARs. That pic says "modified semi auto" Probably not as far from reality as you think.
MAybe a bump stock would achieve such a fire rate of 1200, more so than a natural full auto would. The gun is modded after all. Though 1200 rpm seems a tad excessive by itself
Adrian Nguyen
Binary trigger is more likely than bumpstock
Logan Reed
Did the math and it’s still 647 rounds/minute with binary
Landon Richardson
What if you did a binary AND a bump stock??? 1200 rpm confirmed
>Was democracy a mistake, bros? The US isn't a democracy.
Alexander Perez
It will be when a few big cities in four states run the fucking country like a medieval satrapy.
Caleb Perry
>AR semi-auto with bumper stocking: 1200 Are they sure they weren't looking at a MG42?
it seriously doesn't fucking matter anymore, you're voting for one change in social policy and a few economic rebalances every 4 years. The parties are so similar that politicians just jump sides if it helps their odds.
This seems like a particularly big problem for the US. You guys don't really have many huge cities like other countries, but a bunch of more moderate sized ones all over. Won't that mean power will be more saturated in smaller areas than other countries?
And that's the reason why America have so many policies that are different from other countries nowadays. American are feared that they could become just like other countries when those large cities continue to grow
Leo Carter
What if we spin this as a way to legalize full autos? I mean if a semi fires faster wouldn't a full auto be safer?
If that's where the majority of the people live then that's were the majority of the power should be. If you don't like it then you can go kiss the Queen's ass, because over here it's supposed to be "We the people" and not "The empty acres of land"
Oliver Phillips
Besides the numbers being completely retarded >implying fire rate = directly increased death toll
Andrew Howard
And 43% of the billionaires
Carson Bailey
>No chainsaw bayonet or underslung mare's leg 0/10 would not operate with.
Ak has wood so its morenlike grandpas hunting rifle. AR has scary black aluminum and plastic
Gavin Morris
I was actually really sad to see my M4 mutilated into F/A. They did it so sloppily
David Lopez
Or loaded onto one of those ready to insert clip? Not sure what they are called. But pretty sure no criminal would have those ready
Jonathan Clark
Full Moon or Half Moon clips is what my old man calls them, but that might be a Fuddism.
Jose Russell
Ah yes, at least you would know the name and googling it would yield some results
Ian Gomez
The only real downsides to the system is that you can't fire .45ACP in a gun that takes them without a clip, though you can still fire .45LC if the cylinder is long enough, and it takes a special tool to remove empty shells without fucking up your clip.
Elijah Rivera
>no criminal would make optimal use of his weapon I can't wait for the day some czoiboi gets mugged by a wigger in 5.11s whipping his roland special out of an appendix holster
Oliver Sanders
20 rounds a second for ar-15? Did they even fucking bother? A belt fed, bump stock can't do that. An m16 at ~16 rounds a second atleast sounds reasonable compared to the extra 4 a second somehow a civilian gun "does"
Nolan Evans
the secret is to use carbine gas, with pistol buffer and no bolt weights. hold the gun upside down for most reliable feeding and you can achieve the magic 1200 rpm custom ar15
the ranges that let these people come in to film propaganda should be boycotted
Joseph Morris
Wow I can't believe semi-automatic guns shoot faster than automatic guns, we really need to ban them.
Grayson Nguyen
The article actually drops some decent knowledge. Only 4% of firearms deaths in America come from rifles.
Noah Walker
Why does the BBC have such a hard on for American Gun Policy? They just can't shut the fuck up about it, and it literally has no effect on them. Like... you're in England.
Everyone has their opinions, especially on Jow Forums. But no news outlet rags on another country's domestic policy as the BBC does with American gun control
Liam Perry
>BBC is seething on anything related to Americans/French i mean, yeah, that's what they do, i was just trying to point out that we all have those kind of liberal in the west spewing some mad shit about dakkagat yet they are the one that vote the laws to regulate said dakkagat
I remember that news story claiming the guy shooting it was some vietnam veteran commando or some shit. Seeing him hold his gun like some basedboy was a sight to see.
Isn't 1,200 RPM the cyclic rate on a full auto MAC10? And that's not even close to an LCR. The more I look the worse it gets. Holy shit, Bongistan is on another level entirely.
Ethan Hall
M4 shoot faster than M16. Carbine gas more oomf than rifle. Things move quicker, faster bullet come out bullet hole.
Technically a full auto M4 will be faster than an auto 16.
Brandon Johnson
Except our system was designed specifically so that both rural and urban areas were free to pursue their own interests and preserve their rights without having to worry about people on the other side of the country dictating how to live their lives and what rights they are allowed to keep.
Austin Lopez
City faggots that can't into sweat, blood, hunt, physical ex, not sucking a,other man dick >and not "The empty acres of land" And can't into farming either, how the fuck did you lived that long?
Are apparently going to dicate the way we countryfags are going to live, we have the same fucking shiny retards in France, in Paris, being all degenerates anytime they can throwing shit at me for keeping loaded weapons around my house/farm, i guess if Jamal or that negro bear decide i'm next on the menu i will patiently wait for the 20 minutes away in-the-middle-of-nowhere cops to save me, meanwhile i guess i will entertain my diverse guest with a pack of uno and some gatorade because some fancy cocksucker would have their feelings hurt?
You're the reason why i load copper plated shot in my Benelli.
I really have to wonder how the lie that the US is a Democracy has managed to spread the way it has. Does any school teach basic civics anymore?
Jason Bennett
>Did the math and it’s still 647 rounds/minute with binary
>What if you did a binary AND a bump stock??? 1200 rpm confirmed
1000 .223 rounds weight 28lbs , you can't even carry 40 loaded 30 round magazines so that up to 1200 number is extremely misleading. The average soccer mom sees this and now thinks that you can fire 6000 rounds in 5 minutes
also, last time I took my binary AR out and dumped 8 30 round mags through it in a row, my finger got so tired I had trouble working the mag release....
Gabriel Miller
Fingerlet.
Hunter Price
to be fair, I also had my P90 and that was not the first set of mags, just the only time I did all 8 of my AR mags.
This is what I took that day, was a good day at the shooting pit.
"Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect works as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well. In Murray’s case, physics. In mine, show business. You read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. Often, the article is so wrong it actually presents the story backward-reversing cause and effect. I call these the “wet streets cause rain” stories. Paper’s full of them.
In any case, you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story-and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read with renewed interest as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about far-off Palestine than it was about the story you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.
