Need to panic buy an AR. What is a good non budget one I can buy under 1000? I need one that will hold up

Seconding this. WW makes good rifles in the 750-1k range (depending on where you shop). They're g2g out of the box. They're made by the old Bushmaster guys, from before they got bought out and the Bushmaster rep went to shit from declining QC.

Most people are unfamiliar with the brand and opt for ponies or bcms instead, so they're usually not hard to find either.

I have a Recon that I really like. The furniture that comes with it is fairly nice. I took the buttstock off and put a magpul PRS on instead.

Accuracy falls off more than I'd like with a hot barrel, but cold barrel I've shot half-moa groups at 300 yards.
