>2) belt CCW: if you're not carrying a 10+round 9mm you're wrong Spray and pray is for African child soldiers, and unsuitable for the white race. We superior types can hit what we're shooting at in under 15 tries.
Total Chads shoot .44 Magnum on the regular, so .357 is basically our version of 9mm. If you weren't such a limpdicked soi'd-up ladyboy you could be cool like us.

357 out of a lever gun is pretty nice. Using the same cartridge in all your guns (long gun, open carry, conceal carry) is pretty nice.
Unlike the bigger calibers you suggested 357 uses a small pistol primer vs large which is more common, easier to get and pretty nice.
357 guns can be sexy like the chiappa rhino (shorter barrel without the god awful tooling mark), python, old rugers and I think that's nice.
357 can be used for cowboy action shooting if that's your gig where the other calibers may not be which is nice if you are into such a thing.
357 can shoot 38 special which is nice.
Revolvers can cycle weakloads like rat shot where semi's have an issue with it which is nice.
357 is pretty nice. Revolvers are pretty nice.
Easton Ward
This post is nice
Joseph Davis
you're nice
Hudson Jenkins
Both of you guys are nice. OP is nice too, but he's also a faggot.
Jonathan Baker
Man you're fucking reaching. No one was talking about rifles or whether revolvers are nice(no doubt they are). The premise of this thread is that there is no job you need a handgun fore where 357 is the optimal choice.
No one has had a single argument rise above the level of "OP is a fag.
Yes, in a package that doesn't have retarded muzzle flip like your pic. Are you aware that the mr73 can handle insanely hot 357 rounds?
Adrian Gray
Look I'm happy you have a nice range toy but it's not an optimal choice for any handgun application.
Luke Perez
tell that to GIGN nigger
Nathan King
Why not go .44 mag if you like hot loads??
Austin Baker
>the french are the experts
This isn't the cheese forum dude.
Elijah Gomez
>Use with a riot shield >Use when inside a pocket or jacket >Use by a smaller individual who can't take 44 loads but still needs to stop large animals. Or black bear country. What do I win?
Julian Torres
2 benefits of revolvers in general not specific benefits of 357 as a caliber. 1 manlet cope.
We don't make decisions based on what is best on paper. If we did everyone would drive Honda Civics and live in minimalist houses.
Christian Rivera
While manlets are not biologically male. They are human and as such represent a valid use case per OP's retarded question.
>2 benefits of revolvers in general Not true. 357 represents the largest revolver caliber the than can be controlled while being shot with one hand. larger frame 44's are just not manageable for the normal shooter. Therefore for both those use cases 357 is the idea.
Jackson King
>best >honda civic >tiny house
Are you feeling okay bro? I knew this thread would trigger some people but I didn't mean to give anyone a stroke.
Gavin Ramirez
>357 represents the largest revolver caliber the than can be controlled while being shot with one hand
.357 is basically an intermediate cartridge when fired out of a rifle. And you can fire it out of a revolver as well.
Checkmate. Cowboy operator cartridge confirmed.
Asher Torres
Fuck off nigger. Civics are fuel efficient budget cars ideal for every practical car need, you can replace Civic for Corolla or Prius if you'd like. Minimalist houses are all you need. The point being people don't choose firearms based on what is most ideal or best on paper.
Jayden Hill
.357 in modern application there are alloy light weight revolvers (SW has alot of nice 8 round I want to say N frames although they may be L) is a good compromise. Its versatile and can be loaded for various usage. Can cut through most urban barriers with ease and at 8 rounds capacity is marginally less than most ccw weapons.
One of these revolvers will still beat even the best 9mm and .40 in terms of penetrating glass and car doors as well as wood barriers. No doubt that was what .357 was all about when SW beat colt to the market (colt had the 38 super) to give the lawman a pistol that could cut through cars where the .45acp, .45lc and .38special and .38sw could not in the handgun application with 1930s ammunition.

See this post explains why 357 is irrelevant today. It was tits for being a cop round when the gun of the day was an OWB carried wheelgun. Now cops have high cap handguns for general use and patrol rifles for barrier pen/serious use.
If you're not a cop you don't need barrier pen but if you must larp about needing barrier pen there are better rounds than 357 to do that.
Jason Rivera
>not wantin’ to be rootin’ tootin’ cowboy shootin’ You better be driving a Prius if you’re so gung ho about what may or may not be über practical on paper.
Jace Fisher
Every one of these "it doesn't have to be practical" posts makes the point that 357 isn't the best choice for anything. I'll re-iterate that no one is saying it's not a bullet just that in any scenario it's never the best choice.
.25acp is still a bullet but it's never the best choice either. No one gets butthurt when you say that though.
Anthony Smith
op guzzles semen by the gallon, and yet still has little girl wrists
While there are better rounds strictly for barrier pen, I'd argue 357 is the sweet spot. You can still have a reasonably concealed 357 (snubby or 4 inch) and run hollowpoints or wadcutters or whatever you need.
Call me a bitch but 41 mag and 44 mag or up out of a snub (or even 4 inch) is really fucking unwieldly.
Colton Young
Still no arguments...Plus my 44mag handloads laugh at the recoil of your irrelevant cartridge.
Please list the scenarios you envision someone not paid to carry a gun needs barrier pen in their CCW so I can laugh at your larping sheepdog fantasies.
Sometimes you just need to shoot Tyrone through your car door.
James Reyes
All of them involve black people.
Nathaniel Davis
OP why exactly do you dislike .357? You don’t have to use it.
Thomas Young
He probably got mogged by a magnumchad at the range. I feel bad for 9mmcels
Jacob Nelson
I don't dislike it. I fucking own one. It's a range toy though. There's no practical use for a handgun where I think "yup 357 is the best round for that job in current year". Some faggots treat 357 as something mythical and it amuses me to watch them fail to provide effective arguments. Also I like being called a weak-wristed faggot on a Bolivian cui recipe forum
Camden Reyes
dueling trees are hilarious, .357, .45, clang those plates and spin them around. 9mm just makes a slight nudge 9mm fags get mad
Tyler Lee
>.t masochist
That's like posting a picture of a whip with: >I lol'd at "you go blisters at work"
When you buy something completely retarded like a .357 snub you know what you're asking for and it's not an effective gun.
Aiden Torres
enjoy your limp wrist tiny caliber, op. I'm sure it will slightly irritate Jamal and make him stab you more
Benjamin Cruz
But it apparently made you so mad that you had to make a post about it
It's superior in the fun category to soulless twat.
Brody Gomez
he still didn't show me on the doll where the .357 touched him there must have been some trauma to cause all of his rage. or maybe just an inferiority complex because of his little girl wrists
optimal choice is such a meme. Collectibilty, enjoyment, and aethstetics, should be much more important to the civilian gun owner, and you can't prove me wrong.
Christopher Jones
>you can't prove me wrong.
Your point is a subjective statement it doesn't require disproof to be discarded.
Easton Martin
I don't know what that means, but I feel like I won.
> ignore all the mess and by the way you can't even read what i wrote High quality there. Would take him 10 minutes to do it right but that's theme here.
> 2:19 - shows the chances of getting in a gun fight over 40 years and its higher than expected No it isn't. How many students per year did he have? What were their occupations (armed security/police/armed forces/etc)
> 2:33 - data doesn't match what we typically see No shit, a sample size of 64 events over 40 fucking years won't ever match average of thousands of events.
> 3:00 most people think shootings happen inside the home Literally no one thinks that. That's the whole reason we have conceal carry permits. Also people who take defensive gun training are more likely to take their safety seriously in other ways (home alarm systems, dogs, outdoor motion lights, etc). All of these things decrease the chance of a home invasion.
> 4:13 almost all happen when pumping gas or in parking lots Where else would they fucking happen? Inside the well lit grocery store?
> 4:56 they didn't require a flashlight to defend themselves
No shit. If it was so dark they required a flashlight to defend themselves then it would be so dark the attacker would need one. And the victim would have to use a flashlight to move around. I mean what the fuck.
> 6:18 rapid and violent counter attack The foundation of every self defense tactic ever (like Krav).
> 7:34 - focus on reloads and clearing malfunctions Jackass didn't give a single stat on how many had to reload, how many had to clear a malfunction. Trying to be evidence based and then just goes off the rails.
> 7:52 - you can't have violent crime without people willing to put up with it That's complete and utter nonsense. Can't have rape unless you have people that tolerate it. Well no one being raped is tolerating it. That is literally the fucking definition of rape.
How many grains did the bullet weigh? If you made it light enough you would only need factory loading of propellent.
Benjamin Price
Op is probably butthurt 10 mm fag who just found out his meme round is weaker than a cheap spinboi load from the thirties. The only reason I don't have a .44 is because ammo costs, and if I'm going to buy something stupid overpowered, I'll go .454 cassul. I'd even go for s&w 460 if I could get it without a hillary hole. Instead I'm thinking about getting a lever action .357. It's legal in all 50 states, and if the system collapses, you can make .38 special with black powder. It was originally a black powder load. Not sure if I want the hassle of tuning up a Rossie, or if I want to spend more money on it. There's a reasonable priced Marlin, but I'm not sure I trust them. And don't suggest a Henry, the load tube cut out is cringe, and I can't bring myself to own anything called a "Henry big boy.' sounds gay as fuck.
Carter Cox
Wtf is this even real? He got played
Jackson Phillips
>idk if I trust marlin
Youre an idiot.
Thomas Allen
All you onions bois do realize that revolvers are worse than semis for the sole reason in a gun fight you are out in 1 sec right? 15 rounds keeps you in for 3+
Tyler Price
I dont see the point of revolvers less than 44 magnum.
Carson Perez
So that whole thing about quality going down when Remington bought them it's bullshit? I'm talking new manufactured guns. They only warranty them for five years, even Taurus went back to lifetime (original purchaser.) Not arguing, legitimately asking.
Hunter Morgan
I'm pretty sure it's fake. It's been discussed at length in many threads.
Julian Morales
Marlin is solid. Everyone where I live buys them and swears by them.
Ive never heard of a single problem and I know 2 people who bought theirs last year and have shot enough without any problems. .30-30 and .45-70 that is.
>Ain't nothing like a good ol' wheel gun and lever gun combo, just like the cowboys in the wild west. Yeehaw!
Kevin Powell
Very smart going with big handle they are awesome! Also the rail is personal choice. Id get the rail but its up to you for what kind of sights you want if you like irons or you want a scope or whatever. My friend has a scope and its nice
The other one has a threaded barrel though. Really tempted to go that route. I only own handguns, so this would be my first rifle. I'd like something suppressed for home defense so I don't blow my ears out. Not super practical, I know, but it's legal (minus suppressor) in all fifty states, I think.
Ian Sullivan
125gr
Carson Clark
Be warned that shooting a whole bunch of 125gr .357s will eventually fuck up even that beautiful MR73. The GIGN used/uses 158gr rounds FWIW...
Josiah Mitchell
I did it twice just to say I did. Thanks for your concern anyway user I appreciate it
But reloading for .357 and .38 special is so damn easy Like what ever you have on hand. You can load it with 9mm ammo, soft lead, hard cast lead, speical rounds, black powder, cordite, actual recommended powder, anything that fits down the berral Shits the best for reloading
