Why would they? Why would a perfectly capable man risk life and limb for a system which by definition must put him at a disadvantage comapred to his fellow man. "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." If a man's ability exceeds his need, then he is pledging to exploited in favor of those whose need exceeds their ability. Why would a strong man long for an arrangement which punishes strength? The sheer game theory of it all shows that such a regime puts him at a disadvantage.
