Most civilized war

Which war was the most civilized to fight in? I'd say the North African campaign in WWII. No real atrocities, Geneva Conventions strictly observed, the combatants generally liked and respected each other.

Lots of anecdotes about it. Eg at the southern edge of the theatre around the Qattara Depression the British and Germans came to an understanding to only fight during the day. Once the sun went down they could relax until morning. A British officer was captured and the Germans offered to return him for a truck full of cigarettes. The British built a dummy airfield as part of an elaborate deception plan and a German plane flew over and dropped a wooden bomb on it.

the england vs nepal war

both sides treated prisoners well and latter they had a peace treaty and were friends

>The British built a dummy airfield as part of an elaborate deception plan and a German plane flew over and dropped a wooden bomb on it.
Any reading about this?

>The British built a dummy airfield as part of an elaborate deception plan and a German plane flew over and dropped a wooden bomb on it.

I need a sauce on that. If that is true my sides are in orbit

Navy on Navy conflicts are usually pretty 'friendly'

they don't exactly get a chance to desecrate each other...

They could just not pick up survivors

It's bullshit. There's a dozen variants of that story, mostly attributed to the British dropping said wooden bomb. It's just one of those made up myths.

>and a German plane flew over and dropped a wooden bomb on it.
The warfare equivalent of "no u"

Yeah I could see it being lore. The relationship between Germans and Brits was very civil for the most part however.
