Debating cutting the top rial off and welding the correct claw mount centering piece back on. PTR is so fucking retarded for doing that, but so is DT so idk who is worse.

I like my PTR. Other than the rail, is there something wrong with it or am I getting memed on?

the rail really rubs people the wrong way. however, i think its a reasonable addition. its low profile, simple, easy to mount optics, and modernizes that aspect of the mp5.
the issue is its non optional for ptr. dont worry about it.

Its not really being forced if you elect to buy it, desu. A day too late to buy my zenith so i settled, ill live.

Its 6 really tiny welds holding it on, its not like its a major deal to hack it off, but refinishing it might be fun.

Its more than just the rail, youre basically buying a barreled receiver and replacing everything else right off the bat to make it not look like shit.

Acp's are so mediocre for what you're paying

Claw mounts are also notorious for not fitting well if the receiver isnt absolutely spot on perfect and square.

It ruins one of the greatest lines on any firearm but its basically neccessary if you intend to use an optic hard. Also claw mounts are retarded expensive and are usually in addition to the optic and mount the optic uses to attach to the claw mount.

The Mlok forearm does look like ass but is practical. If you don't like it a traditional wide handguard can be had for $30 which is alot better than $100+ for a clamp on rail.

What else is there to change out? Unless you don't like the navy lower for some reason it should be good to go.

May be verboten in the PCC thread but I have an AR9 I received in a trade, I like it so far but need to replace the short and overly thicc handguard. Its a 5.5" barrel, should I do a 5.5" handguard with a small linear comp or a ~7" handguard with an unnecessarily large comp? My only concern is aesthetics desu, but it does feel kinda wrong to add 4" to OAL just for a muzzle device/handguard.

Big fan. I know polymer is extremely good these days and have polymer framed handguns, but I still prefer the feel of aluminum for larger guns. The AR9 gives me that plus cool looking and cheap Colt SMG mags.

AR parts compatibility is a gift and a curse since you will never be done spending money on bullshit additions to the gun for fun. After an SBA3 and new handguard thinking of getting a hydraulic buffer system so its like a poor man's APC/GHM.

It's pretty sexy. In a stock form the Ruger PCC great looking, feeling, shooting gun. Being able to break it in half for /out/ shit is also VERY nice, how easy to is to take apart for cleaning or modding is really grea(Ruger PCC will follow 10/22 in mods), it's very simple to use and maintain. Really wish they made one in a .44mag. My only big negative I see from all this is the price. 150+ for the m lok rail, another 200+ for the chasis set up. That's not even including the grip and stock that YOU need to provide yourself.

It's a SITES Spectre HC Pistol that I've SBR'd.
The Spectre HC is a semi-auto pistol export version of the Italian Spectre M4 SMG designed and imported in the mid 80's.
The original Spectre M4 SMG's saw some use with Italian police and special forces, as well as the Swiss military who bought some.
It is one of the few if not the only SMG with a double-action/de-cocker feature.
It also uses Quad-stack "Coffin" magazines based off of the ones designed for the Suomi M31.
They were banned from being sold in the US after the 1994 AWB and haven't been available new since then.
Finding spare parts, mags, and accessories for them is damn near impossible,
Last I checked it was $250 a piece for a spare Coffin mag, if you can find them,
but I managed to get this Spectre as a package deal with a VFG, 6 mags, and an extremely rare folding-stock.
(Only 175 folding-stock kits were imported in 1993, plus a few brought in with de-milled parts kits.)

I have an AR9, had some teething issues with reliability, but now it runs fine. It's sort of boring, but it's great for what it does, especially if you don't want to spend shit tons.

I love my Foxtrot Mike AR-9, but I gotta say if I’d had the money I would’ve gone with a Scorp.

How do you like the TP9? Is it worth the money? (I have no clue what it costs)

It's great for what it is, that being a super lightweight and compact lil subgun. But is it worth the money, probably not, depending on how much you find one for. TP9-US can be found for whereabouts 1300 which is a fair deal, but TP9-N (the one with the integrated VFG slot) never seem to peek below 1800. That ain't gonna be worth it to most people.

Yeah for 1800+ I’d rather go for an MP5. Damn shame because I love the look of the TP9.

From what I understand it's a novelty piece. If it tickles your fancy and you got the cash go for it, but in regards to practicality a more traditional PCC is reportedly more appropriate.
