Macs are open-bolt which is considered a machine gun so they had to add a whole trigger assembly and hammer in the back.

The m11/9 is simply an enlongated M11A1 (.380, 1500 rpm). The extra length allows a heavier bolt (16oz vs ~13oz) with a longer travel to safely cycle the more energetic 9mm at 1200rpm.
The original "slow fire" mod was to take the 380 bolt and drop it into the long m11/9, to shoot it at ~800 rpm.
RPB made closed bolt, hammer fired M11A1s which are short. The length has nothing to do with accommodating the hammer assembly.

What does it cost to legit buy a mac or uzi in the USA? I have a security clearance and can pass all the background shit. Just wondering what the cost is, and how good/bad the resale value is.
