I’ve seen estimates for outfitting a US soldier range from $17k to $60k and they have the benefit of having companies compete to be the low end bidder for a bulk contract.

If you want your militia to be decently equipped, you’re gonna need a budget of about half the low-end estimate for infantry. I’d say $10k gets you a well equipped minuteman.

>camo
who cares? camo is mostly irrelevant. on a $700 budget just wear whatever the fuck you want
>helmet
on a $700 budget? none.
>patch
lol
>main gun
PSA AR with iron sights
>secondary/grenades
$700 lol. bargain bin ammunition, probably not even a full loadout.
>equipment
whatever's left, spend on cheap ass plate carrier with ceramic plates if possible, probably second hand if you can find them. alternatively, spend a little more and buy one (1) high-quality ceramic plate and place it in front. again, $700

>needing 8-10k to be decently equipped
Go to sleep user. Try not being retarded tomorrow.

Raughs in gook

>wow things cost different amounts in different countries
>wow it turns out a command economy and government-owned businesses can provide things more cheaply than the free market
>wow!

Are you dense mate? it says "militia" right there, not "J. Rambo supersoldier".
You can get a used LBV for 20 quid just about anywhere, or a simple airshit one, and bang, load bearing equipment is done.
shoes? it's a militia, bring yer own.
uniform? dark/green colours, if not, 10 buck milsurp trousers, blouse.
helmet? hunting hats.
patch? blue strips of clothing round the upper arm for PID, done.
main gun? your closest, cheapest assault rifle that will function reliably and that you can feed. classically, your armies current or former one.
secondary/grenades? shit man, you don't need a secondary and can't buy grenades, so make Molotovs and fertiliser(or local equivalent) bombs instead.

depending on the cost of your rifle and amount of equipment your mates brought from home, you have anywhere between 200-400 quid left to blow on equipment. this is spent collectively on some night vision/thermal scopes, so a real army can't just wait till its dark and drill you a new butthole while you can't fight back.

body armor is for pussies.

Retarded idea, OP, you can-t have an individual rifleman armed and equipped with just 700 bucks, money goes fast, especially with guns.

>tax
bruh look at this dood

>$700 budget for an entire militia

Spend $400 on milsurp rifles, as many as possible
Spend the rest on ammunition to train in small unit tactics and coordination

>body armor is for pussies
Okay, tough guy, let's magdump into your sternum

>suffers 5 to 1 casualty rate

>Civilian clothes that don't stand out much, dull colors. Grey or Green if possible.
>Member chooses, but must look inconspicuous on a civvie
>Blue armband around upper left arm
>anything you can get, but provided with SKS rifles.
>anything the member can bring, none issued
>various vehicles provided by members, radios, repair equipment, explosive materials, MREs and other survival equipment such as knives, pans, etc.
The goal is to have a militia that can operate in the wild up north, and blend in with the populace.
Matching enemy weaponry is impossible, so well planned ambushes to capture equipment must be executed.
The woods in the area allows this, and in this scenario, the populace is supportive and can provide supplies when in need.
