But lets say it is a plan to discourage, through changes in behaviour any kind of fakery. Society should be set up in such a way that any sort of fakery, manipulation, is eventually self-defeating.

Delusion is absolutely necessary in order to even begin to endure and tolerate reality. Everything good in this world is deception, "love," happiness, your good feelings, they are all trickery, chemicals exactly the same as those in recreational drugs, the human body constantly tricks itself into thinking that life is worth living. When your girlfriend says she "loves" you it is manipulation, she may not be aware of it herself but that does not change the fact that that is all it is. If you were to instead face cold hard and true reality and remove the manipulative lies that adorn and embellish your perception of the world, the hopelessness would just make you kill yourself immediately.

In other words, lies are good and reality is bad. Anime is fun and exciting and lovely and meaningful because it is make-believe. Real life is cold and bleak. Humans are capable of coming up with such concepts simply because it makes us better at surviving.
