Rarely is a film so sad it becomes difficult to watch.
Rarely is a film so sad it becomes difficult to watch
My nigga. This is the one where they go hungry, right?
my mom is korean and i watched this film with her once and she said "haha fuck the japs. but it was still a pretty good film"
Yeah. I'm about halfway through the film, took a break to get some food and make this thread. Watching their condition deteriorate is hard no matter how many times you've watched it.
That movie was boring af
Your mom sounds like an evil bitch.
jjokbari got a taste of their own medicine
my mom is nice enough. she's just racist
I quit watching a film because it had NTR. I enjoyed it to that point.
The only film that really made me sad was pic related
1988 really was the best year for anime.
Grave of the Fireflies
Akira
Gunbuster
Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack
My Neighbour Totoro
Patlabor
Why tf is a gook racist to japs? Their the superior gook.
If there's Grave of the Fireflies rule 34 I'm going to self mutilate.
>film
hey be careful with that word, some autist might pop out of the woods and start shitting up the thread with "that's not a film thats a movie/kino/cinema/some other fucking autistic moving picture term"
in my own irony, I have become that autist shitting up the thread with movie terms
Brb looking for it
Kind of agree, I watched a few other Studio Ghibli movies before this one and liked them a lot, but for whatever reason this one struck me as rather bland. I didn't really ever feel emotionally invested in/connected with the characters. I wonder why that is...
WW2. Nobody else in asia likes the japs.
It was pretty good, seems I gave it a 7/10, I imagine many nips perished in the same way back in those days. It's hard to imagine what it must've been like to be alive back then. My grandpa was born 1926 (northern yuro) he told me a little about the food rationing and the different stamps they had to use to get different groceries, he lived on a farm and when the officials came to count their inventories and livestock they usually hid some animals in a cellar. He heard from his elders though, that things were far worse during WW1, they were a lot better prepared when the 2nd war broke out.
I'm watching Gin no Saji now, thought Moyashimon was the only one within the genre.
>being this ignorant
please be underage
>please be underage
Nope, just retarded. I still think japs are the superior gook. Very aesthetic culture, great vehicles. Lean six sigma to the max.
im not surprised by this, all you asian fucks have no souls. you wouldnt blink while watching toddler burning alive
>japanese cartoon = film
literally die
>getting this triggered over words
jeez
Agreed. It's one of the most overhyped animes ever. I completely failed to see what was so great about it. It tried to be a dramatic wartime movie, but there are tons of way better wartime dramas.
you just like anime you fucking weeb
I just ordered this film online, actually. I figured I needed more depression fuel since finishing Evangelion.
It's scary how much you realize that East Asians and the entire world would have no empathy for anyone if it wasn't for Western Europeans (and diaspora) basically enforcing those values on everyone by being shining economic and militaristic beacons that other countries have to be on good terms with.
i remember reading the tldr for this. a brother and younger sister after the war and she starves to death right?
my eyes are watery im so gay. at work too.
in the real version anyway. im sure the cartoon gave it a "happily ever after" ending.
i didnt even watch the film or read thr book and this thread made me cry. i am hiding in the bathroom until im done crying because im at work.
The anime didn't give it a happily ever after.
It's not some overall great anime. Following an orphaned older brother and younger sister starving to death is just extremely saddening you autistic retard.
Try "Barefoot Gen" for moar feels
