What is UP fellas?! Guess what day it is? PAY DAY! So post your blances and discuss your financial woes ITT.
I would have had a lot more but my landlord cashed my rent check extra early today. Fucking bullshit if you ask me! But I still increased my balance, if only by a few hundred. Post yours!
What have you been spending money on? By now I thought you would of had at least 100-125k.
Ive seen your threads often over the last 1-2 years and it progressed to 50k mark a lot faster, seems like your last 15k has taken much longer to save up than your first 50k, maybe im wrong though ,but it seems that way
Easton Mitchell
give me your bussy NOW
Oliver Jones
Fuck off. I have increased my balance by 15k since this time last year. Every time I get paid I increase my balance other than twice. You come into my threads constantly and act like I am not making progress well newsflash you piece of faggotty pic shit: I am making more progress than any of you ever could. Now grovel before me.
Minus 1000 pounds because I can't stop spending money on camwhores. My parents think I have all this money saved to move out and i'm living in my overdraft.
Since I'm a college kid with a minimum wage job, I maybe make 100 bucks a week. But it's all disposable income so I have no reason to bitch.
Hudson Robinson
I have addiction problems and no self control. I managed to go from november until march without spending anything, dragged myself out of my overdraft then relapsed last month now I'm back in it.
Caleb Harris
Short some stuff now then.
Owen Reyes
I've saved quite a bit every month but now this vacation is taking a large part of what I've saved the last year. I'm saving a decent part of my money and I could be a bit better but with my income it will take many decades to have a significant amount of money. It seems I'll be a low level wageslave until I die or if I'm lucky I can be retired for a while when I'm old.
Jordan Stewart
8000. I used to have 19k but I've been out of work for over a year and it's dwindling fast.
Caleb Fisher
My net worth is $100k right now.
The 60k and 28k (plus an additional 2k) are being invested in something.
After that, it's around 11-12k in my debit account, with 6-7k more coming in soon. I guess close to 110k by the end of April.
I would rather play the shorting game. Just holding index funds
William Peterson
Im to tired to crop shit. (Much graveyard) I have 1328 dollars. Started from zero a few months ago. So I'm feeling ok actually. I actually wanna die a lil bit less at the moment. Rare friends. Rare.
desu it's very sad the only thing you have that's worth discussing is how much you've saved up, most people talk about hobbies or skills - anyway what are you saving up for?
Zachary Torres
>most people talk about hobbies or skills Have you talked to anyone in the last year?
Adam King
Why would you hold that if you expect a correction though?
Joshua Williams
post your balances! aaahhh
Levi Howard
I'm not insecure and I have a personality so I see no reason to
Blake Young
>I'm not insecure, so let me tell a complete stranger this I believe you.
Dylan Anderson
desu I'm just dont care enough to start selling my index funds shares and my stock picks and then buy back at some other time. I would rather just hold. I have zero things to spend the money on so I would rather just keep the stocks for ~10-30 years.
But ill wait another 2-3 months before buying index funds with my cash
Ryan Thomas
ok let me rephrase, I'm not insecure enough to try and impress strangers online with my bank balance
Joseph Richardson
Can I maybe have a very tiny little bit of that, if you were feeling kind?
Evan Howard
You're still insecure. Me infinity, you zero.
Cameron Young
but not as insecure as you lad you virgin with no personality me infinity
Nicholas Price
Do you live in Canada? How much do you need? For what will you use it?
Charles Baker
No I don't live in Canada but you could use PayPal and that would convert it automatically. I need about 640 for bills that are past due and due soon. Mainly insurance, power, water, gas and internet. Their kindness ends after one month of being overdue.
Owen King
Forgot to mention that I'd settle for $100 or $200 so I can stock up on groceries though, non perishables in case the power gets turned off.
Jonathan Cook
I have 6k+ euros currently. Started working only a few months ago. Once I pay off my car next month, I'll really be able to start building up my emergency savings fun.
Jason Young
I've had sex as recently as last Thursday. what about you?
Jaxson Edwards
No payday for me this week. Next i might join you, lad
How do I save money, though. I've spent almost all my checks, to the point i have pennies in my account, and i keep telling myself that i'll start saving, but see shit i really wanna buy (graphics card, albums, books, new speakers)
what do? Even if i only put away $100 a month, would it be helpful at all?
Luke Watson
yesterday, plus going out again tomorrow so yea
Adam Williams
I'm too spooked by sites like PayPal since I've never used them. If you were in Ontario or Canada, I would. My wife would be fine with it too.
Oliver Morgan
Stop buying useless stuff. Save a fixed amount and put it in an account that you cant widraw easily from
Ayden Sullivan
It's honestly really simple. I could even get you a link where you don't even have to sign up to send me something (though PayPal would take a cut). I can't be so close to someone being nice to me only to be denied now. Please?
Brandon Lewis
So I guess we are both successful dudes. Why call me insecure then?
Isaac Perry
You both need to Ieave
Noah Wilson
because you're posting your bank balance online in order to impress people
Brayden Martin
>it's an user think he owns r9k episode boring
Jacob Rivera
My money is in the market because I can't fucking save more than $8k in my checking account at any given time, despite a six figure salary... So I've got slow rolling investments, and some crypto... Sucks. No matter how much I make, I can't save.
I've been doing this for years. The only one making a big deal out of it is you.
Isaac Hughes
I was just roleplaying as that poster who's actually rich to see what it would feel like. Sorry to get your hopes up. I think he's gone.
Samuel Wilson
>useless stuff That's the thing, I dont think any of the stuff i've bought in the past couple months is useless (new PC build and some manga), both of which i've wanted for a long time and got enjoyment out of. For someone working part time and earning about 700 a month, what would be a good amount to save?
Dominic Brooks
>I've been doing this for years. I know that's what makes it sadder, you've spent years doing something that's only purpose is to inflate your ego
Leo Edwards
Oh. Welp. That was the last straw for me. See you guys. It was nice posting with you all the past few years.
Christopher Carter
200 a month would put you in a good place. you'd have a thousand saved before the year is half over
Owen Thompson
Dude I can't save more than 4k in my checking and I'm making 120k. I was rich in BTC until the market continued shitting.
Angel Scott
>It's another "barely affording to exist" episode :^ )))
Yes that's why people do things. That's why you're replying to me now. You've cracked the modern pathology!
Jonathan Ortiz
If you value the things more than saving then its gonna be hard for you to save. Saving rate all depends on your expenses. I would save 50-70% if you lived at home with minimal expenses
Dominic Martin
We're the same. I'm probably older than you though.
If I'd just cook my own meals, I could save a lot more money. And yeah. The crypto bubble - hold me bro, i know that feel.
Chase Torres
Someone please just help me, just this once.
Dominic Garcia
how does it inflate my ego, I think its really sad, the fact another human is this insecure actually upsets me, it doesn't make me feel better about myself
you might be redeemable though lad because I'd rather everytime I see this thread it doesn't make me depressed would you answer some questions
listen I know your first thought will be I'm going to use these answer against you but I'm not, your answers will either make me less sad or more sad, if they make me less sad I'll apologize for judging you so harshly, if they make me more sad I'll wish you the best and just filter these from now on so I don't see them
Charles Allen
i can't give you money but i'd encourage you to learn2tech
tech sector is thriving. designers, developers, qa, product, project - there are jobs in every city for these specialties. so pick one that interests you and get to learning, then get a foot in the door by helping some fool with money build a website for their company or whatever
work in tech, the is all
Isaac Jones
why do you deserve my money more than me? and what would you spend it on?
Elijah Brown
It inflates your ego because you are acting like you have some moral high ground. You're probably just as shallow and vain as I am, masquerading these flaws with big abstractions like "personality". I don't know much about you but from what I can tell you are a stick in the mud who takes things a little too seriously. I will humor you now:
>27 >yes >no >yes >no >writing reviews no one reads, going to the gym, making videos about things I find interesting, playing guitar like Neil Young, watching movies I haven't seen >No >No
Tyler Moore
I don't deserve your money more than you in the slightest. Things have just taken an unfortunate turn for me and I'm trying my luck any way I can.
I'd just spend it on overdue bills. Not even food right now, just bills. Need about $640.
Eli Stewart
I don't think you understand the term moral high ground but other than that you're pretty spot on anyway your answers made me think this is less pathetic, sorry for being a bit of a dick to you also by job? I meant what do you do as a job also based hobbies
Leo Brooks
ok let me rephrase then why should I give you money to solve a problem you created yourself? why can you not raise the money yourself? what is the unfortunate turn?
Kevin Hill
Moral high ground meaning that you're acting like you're better than me, "higher" than me, because you don't dare to make funny threads on Jow Forums that inflate your ego. I make videos for a magazine.
Angel Garcia
Tell us what are some decent investments fucker.
Christopher Baker
Why brag about 60k
Nolan Reed
I like when the numbers go up up up up
Bentley Brown
They've gone up 15k in an entire year.....
Samuel Harris
moral high ground means I believe my actions are more moral, like if two girls got pregnant, one had an abortion then the other starts lecturing her on how bad abortion is, it's a person thinking their actions are more moral or they are more moral than someone else, anyway lad I'm outtie hope the saving goes well and you eventually spend it on something nice
Isaac Gray
I wouldn't go so far as to presume that you should, I'm mainly hoping someone is very rich and in a good mood and feels like being incredibly kind. The unfortunate turn was me getting laid off from work a few months ago because of how slow it was and now I'm having a hard time finding a new job. Even temp stuff is all snatched up. Every day I go down to this place where illegals line up looking for work, usually someone will ask for a guy who can paint or do cheap landscaping stuff, but no dice so far.
Owen Moore
>literal attention seeker seething at people having more money than him
Juan Gutierrez
but by asking us to pay off debts you worked up you are saying we should give you money to fix your problems, also does your country not have a benefit system?
Jaxon Barnes
Yes and when you see how much I spend a given month you would be so proud of me I think you'd start sucking my dick.
I always thought moral high ground applied to sense of superiority. It implies your concern for me isn't genuine and you are only using this interaction to make yourself feel better. I guess I should have said "unwarranted sense of superiority." Ok pal have a good one!
Lucas Thompson
Not really seething. 60k is a nice amount to have but certainly nothing to brag about.
Zachary Wilson
The benefits thing is still processing, taking it's sweet fucking time too. I'm not saying "hey you rich people should help me" I'm really just asking. No harm in just asking, especially when the answer is most likely a no.
Camden Barnes
Okay, how much do you spend a month?
Levi Reed
last month I spent around 2500
Julian Gonzalez
but by asking it shows you have no problem with anons paying to fix your problem kinda fucked desu mate
Ryan Parker
Is that supposed to be a very large amount or a very little amount? It sounds extremely average. Your take home salary I'm guessing is around 50k or so which again seems like a decent but not bragworthy amount
Samuel Gray
In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king. And you should be miring my saving skills. I am a master of frugality while having an active social/sex life.
Isaiah Wright
Two reasons for that, one, because what I need is almost a fraction of what other anons seem to have so in the long run it wouldn't hurt them financially, and two, because I'd do the same thing for someone else. I have in the past given money to people who needed it, although those were the one or two friends I've had in my life. None now though.
Adrian Clark
it's funny how you're critiquing other people when you're probably on benefits and have less money in the bank than him
Jeremiah Torres
>I'd do the same thing for someone else. if this was true you wouldn't have offered to pay people back, you didn't because you won't
Ryder Foster
Any anons wanna paypal me $140 so i can feed myself for the next couple months
things are tight and it would be great to be able to skip the food part of my budget
Sebastian Torres
I didn't offer to pay people back because it would be an empty promise I'd have no way of keeping, I have no idea when I'd be able to pay back someone over $600 and making any plans or deals to would be dishonest.
Bentley Thompson
It's even funnier how you are making assumptions about me without nearly any basis
Lincoln Gutierrez
index funds have been shown to outperform day traders 90% of the time - so open an IRA with Betterment/Wealthfront/TDAmeritrade/Schwab and put $5.5k in per year.
If the markets don't totally explode (they won't - consumer driven economy has more life than people think) you will have $500k - $1m by retirement.
If you inherit money, or catch a windfall, own property in the right place, you can set yourself free at age 60.
Anyway. Look into robo advisors. Supposedly Schwab Intelligent Portfolios outperforms the others, but they're all basically the same (money so diversified it moves with the market, which is presumed to go up, over time)...
And remember a key rule to long term investing! Incremental contributions during both bear/bull high/low times is the key to longterm winning.
Ayden Green
Again spending 2500 a month and saving around 1000 to 1500 doesn't sound either lavish nor frugal. Sounds like a slightly above average kind of life to me. If these threads make you happy then continue making them I guess.
Michael Perez
Thank you I will. And when I crack 70k before the year ends I will celebrate like a mad man.
Ethan Ward
the funniest thing is how you didn't disagree with my assumptions also tripfags are mostly unemployed, the only reason you'd be upset at the user with money is if you didn't have any also you acting like it's a small amount of money is a trick to imply you make more without directly saying it but since you're a tripfag who wants attention and you posted no proof it's safe to assume you don't actually have more money
Logan Brooks
Don't get too caught up with a number. If you really want big bucks you'll need to find a big bucks job
Owen Ortiz
I like the job I have and I can easily advance in the next two years though.
