Except they have a movie coming out later this year where Goku fights a Saiyan God. After that they confirmed Dragon Ball is returning in April 2019. No one knows if its a continuation of Super or a new series though. The reason we have to wait so long is Toei is completely revamping their company to focus on making more dragon ball anime. In fact they are putting 1/3 of all their resources towards it now.

I didn't watch Super that much but at the End of Z, didn't Vegeta grow as a person and decide that family was much more important to him now so he doesn't care about his competition with Goku. I don't get why Super overlooked that character development.
