I used mint for a while and there were some basic things that I could only do on windows. Plus, I'm scared to go into the console/bash thingy and change stuff.
I don't even care much for games anymore. The main ones I play are supported and that's good enough for me.

The one thing that comes to mind is the taskbar being visible when in fullscreen. Made watching videos annoying. Also, there was something I was looking for in the options I couldn't find. I don't know, I might get a virtual machine or something.

That would have to do with your desktop environment, not linux as a whole. I would recommend installing KDE. It's a desktop environment that's basically just like windows.
