Probably a lizard. Regenerating limbs and stuff would be cool. Get some claws and scales maybe. Terrify normies that know about the greys. Ones that aren't afraid of the greys are more likely to take bribes from you. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal.

I like crows and rooks a lot.
Being half bird wouldn't work because birds are really fragile and I probably wouldn't be light and strong enough to fly.
I like housepets but I wouldn't want to be one because they're quite weak.

Would it be "get animal related powers that don't really make sense + get to look like a cool human with a few selected animal traits to make you look cooler" or would it be "get some realistic abilities related to those animals + get to look like a freak"?
If it's the first I'd probably choose a raven or an owl, but if it's the latter I'd rather just stay human.
