very dishonest comparison, imagine being born and raised by people on the reservation, taught all the customs, and partaking in all the rituals.

If those tribe members still refused to acknowledge that you're Cherokee just because you're white then they're idiots like you. Culture isn't tied to blood. It's 100% a social construct by it's very definition.

That is the way that being Indian works though. It depends on your heritage, not your culture. The leader of the biggest reservation in my state looks white and has an English last name, but he has enough blood to be considered part of the tribe, and so is.

Asian countries are idiotic and racist when it comes to culture.

Imagine being white but born and raised in china with 0 exposure to any other culture. At that point there is no cultural difference between you and any other chinaman. So, being intellectually honest, for all intents and purposes you are Chinese. The only thing holding you back would be the racism of the other non-white chinese people, which is what things like OP hopes to counteract. Decoupling race and culture so people who are cultural identical aren't prejudiced against since their skin is different.
