The dogs don't naturally dog fight to the death. They might get into random scuffles on their own. Owners abuse them and make them kill each other

I had to facilitate in killing a dog today.

I live out in the central desert region of Australia and the nearest vet is 1000 km away. There was no way to give this dog an easy death so we had to shoot him.

It wasn't fun and it wasn't easy and even though the dog was really old and frail he still whimpered and was terrified before his death by pistol.

I did everything I could to soothe and calm him, but he knew something bad was about to happen.

So yeah, euthenasia via green needle is an incredibly peaceful alternative to being shot to death, but being shot to death is still a faster alternative to being eaten alive by dingoes, which was a real possibility if we didn't shoot him.

There are breeds of small dog that are more aggressive on average than pits. Dalmatians are the worst breed as far as temperment goes, and any breed is just as likely to be protective of children as they are likely to randomly attack them.

Often they are drug dealers who want the dog for protection or to scare away thieves, but they are too retarded to train the thing properly and neglects the dog, and then the now violent, untrained unfriendly dog ends up in a shelter where some liberal family adopts them out of compassion and then wonder why the dog attacked their baby.

Our dogs love fighting. I don't know if it's just from being feral on the street, but almost every one will tear another apart for no good goddamn reason. The ones who are docile and nice we don't fight, we take them to the pound to get them off the street. Our club has gotten probably 100+ dogs off the street over the years. We only fight them once or twice to pay for their shots and paperwork, then we find them a home. We're not all monsters.

What if it gets ill but I don't want to pay loads of money to get it put down? or if it gets injured and I'm too far from a vet to kill and it's suffering?

They would most likely survive eating trash and they would definitely prioritize finding food and shelter over fighting each other. They aren't like cats that get into territorial fights constantly they prefer to get along and not be pressured into something that could hurt them.

People cause all these problems, not cats and dogs. People are more capable of great evil and are less loyal and innocent than a cat or dog. If you let a cat out and it gets lost it has a home instinct and comes back

Can confirm this. My cat loves me more than any cat ever did, and is affectionate with me all the time but if she knows I am eating she expects to be offered some of it. If it's something she doesn't like, I end up letting her sniff it and she leaves me alone after that, but sometimes she stays, because she can't figure out why I can't just make the food palatable for her like how I also can't control the weather. So it does get irritating after a while but her life is boring so I don't really care.

I don't know if jail is an adequate punishment for certain types of crimes. It should be reserved only for those who are a threat to the general public. It would be harder to design punishment to fit the crime but putting anybody who breaks the rules into a box with each other just seems kinda stupid and doesn't deter people from doing certain things. It's what goes on the record that discourages a lot of people.
