Found two tourists in the mountains on vacation, we thought they had had an accident climbing but it turned out that there was a prison at the foot of these mountains and two inmates escaped. They were witnesses so they had to die, which they didnt pull off properly. Certainly not for lack of trying though. Had stabbed them good multiple times. I was around 12 at the time and we were scared shitless, even the adults. They actually sent a fucking military squad to get us down from there because of the nature of the territory. Was super weird to be escorted by these guys with their assault rifles and even hand grenades (wtf)
Both survived btw and they eventually also found the attackers. There was a video on liveleak that had a guy in some south american country shot in the chest. While it certainly wasn't the most gory thing I had ever seen, it scared me just a bit. The man had blood filling up in his lungs and was choking to death on it. The look of total despair and hopelessness on his face is something that a few words would do no justice to. It seemed as if he was reaching towards something that was out of his reach and it really made me think of how scary a situation like that would be.
