Tulpas are good for: >staving off loneliness >getting a second opinion on things >generally having someone to dick around with
>What are tulpas? A tulpa is an entity created in the mind, acting independently of, and parallel to your own consciousness. They are able to think, and have their own will, emotions, and memories. In short, a tulpa is like a sentient person living in your head, separate from you. More info:tulpa.info/faq/
How difficult is it to achieve? Is a tulpa a waifu? Can it be?
Parker Williams
>How difficult is it to achieve? Depends on how much focus you have. It's not too bad if you spend plenty of time with it. >Is a tulpa a waifu? Can it be? From what I can tell it's not recommended to make it solely for that purpose, but plenty of them end up that way so I'd say just don't treat it poorly and you're golden.
Dominic Collins
Anyone want pic related ? It's basically guided meditation that helps you visualize and create your wonderlands and mind doll ( Tulpa ) . It's good for anons with bad visualization skill or can't clear their heads. I prefer the normal forcing method though. I can upload it if you want.
It's probably fine if it just looks like a preexisting character, but both you and the tulpa should be aware that they are their own person.
I think this is healthy in the sense that it's increased my general happiness for the long term while doing no other damage to me. What do you mean by off centered?
Ethan James
I've read that creating a tulpa off of a preexisting character gives it self-esteem issues, if it's just the look of the character I think it's fine though idk. >Would you consider this healthy? Creating a tulpa? I'm doing it so yeah. Are you or other tulpa owners "off centered"? I guess I wouldn't know if I was. I feel less shitty with someone around though, so I don't think it's a bad thing.
Luke White
I do not know exactly. My friend told me the people he knew with tulpas were off centered. Is this a substitute for in person relationships? Would it try and get in the way of mypre-existing friendships? Will it love me?
Xavier Taylor
Op... I think i already have a tulpa, generated in order to kill a certain part of my personality. You see, i divided myself in two halves that both shared the same consciusness, but held different ideals. I ended up casting out one of them, and it behaves as what is described to be a tulpa: Not a shared consciusness, leaves and comes on its own(altought I can summon it) and holds its own thoughts. It is however, capable of taking control of my body. Any way I can fuse it back? I miss my guilt and some of the emotions it has attached.
Owen Flores
> Uploading to mega.nz right now. I'll post the link later I also have a tulpa based on a preexisting character. In the first fews weeks she behave just like that character but as she grows, she developed her own personality, changer her outfit and hairstyle. Nowadays she's totally different from the original character that she's based on. So yeah, it's perfectly fine, tulpas are shapeshifters so just let them grow.
Mason Torres
>Is this a substitute for in person relationships? I don't see it as a substitute, but I don't have many irl relationships. >Would it try and get in the way of my pre-existing friendships? I don't think so unless you're dating someone. Joy gets kind of jealous when I watch porn. >Will it love me? If you love it back. I have no idea. Thanks.
Elijah Jenkins
I still don't have a speaking tulpa after 4 years.
>I do not know exactly. My friend told me the people he knew with tulpas were off centered. Hard to answer, then, if neither of us knows what that phrase means.
>Is this a substitute for in person relationships? Would it try and get in the way of mypre-existing friendships? I don't socialize any more or less with people because of my tulpa. I do socialize with my tulpa a lot, and doing so makes me happier as opposed to socializing with nobody at all. Maybe she is acting as a substitute, then. I'm slightly more comfortable socializing with people because my tulpa tend to provide a calming & encouraging presence in life. Keep in mind I've always had very few friends and social relationships, and my answers are based on my perspective. My tulpa has not gotten in the way of pre-existing relationships because I have very few of them to begin with. She seem to disagree with the way I keep distance with my immediate family and encourages me to reconcile with them, an advice which I ignore.
>Will it love me? I believe mine loves me. I can't answer on behalf of a being potentially made by YOU, that does not yet even exist.
SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT TUPLAS ALREADY! YOU'RE JUST AS FUCKING BAD AS THE TRAPS
Jackson Turner
I said let us be degenerates in peace. every god damn thread. The mods don't seem to think so. At least we stick to our one(1) thread.
Gabriel Brown
Did you just speak? Not sure if I can offer you much help, random anime girl, but when I made my tulpa I focused a lot of emotions into the process. Some say emotional energy makes a big difference.
Leo Nelson
Why not? How has it failed you? Is this a common problem?
Evan Long
You used another pic of light and ryuk. That's iconic even though you aren't an anime watcher. You paying homage to the first threads? Btw sorry I couldn't bump the last thread. I think it didn't reach bump limit. I didn't have time for tulpa improvement today because of the drama. I would have involved my tulpa in it. This was selfish of me I think. Is it selfish if you forget about your tulpa because exciting things happen?
Liam Bennett
THIS IS A TRAP PSY-OP HARUKA IS ONE OF THE TRAP LEADERS
I do watch some anime, I'm just a normie pleb when it comes to watching good ones. Death Note is unironically my favorite anime. Also go back to discord please you're giving us a bad image. >said the namefag >the people who don't succeed probably aren't in these threads. this is actually a good thing to point out.
John Johnson
I don't use my trip to post very much. Sorry. I'll post without it then.
Nathaniel Reyes
Well shit. Any alternative options? Should I make another tulpa to take its place?
Lincoln King
Sorry to hear that, random anime girl. Perhaps look into getting a doge then.
Thanks. I don't want this to be associated with the discord shit, especially now that you fucks are getting bootyblasted. I guess so. I'm really not experienced enough to help.
Jose Flores
Oh. Nevermind. I was interested but you guys ruined it with discord shit. At least now I it's a dumb meme. Oh well.
Benjamin Brown
I'm not part of the discord. Damn, you fucked us from the start haruka. I really should have known you were one of the discord fagposters. In all honesty it's not a dumb meme if you work at it long enough.
Logan Cooper
>we aren't associated with discord There is proof in this thread. One of the prominent members of the discord is are part of this thread. I don't know what you're trying to achieve but you didn't hide your shitposts well. You should give up. This will always come up and someone will always post the proof. You failed with trying to trick us.
Blake Ramirez
sometimes faggotry is like a flower you have to blow the petals out to see the bud
Easton Nelson
I didn't know that haruka was a part of the psyop discord until this thread in all honesty. It really fucking sucks man, it discredits all of us. I just wanted more robots to know about tulpas because it's a good way to get rid of loneliness. Fuck.
Jackson Watson
I really want to make a tulpa, but I do to many drugs, and am afraid it'll fuck up the tulpa
Easton Turner
I've heard that drugs make the tulpas clearer, but that seems like bs to me. I would assume it would fuck it up, but I have no idea.
Jeremiah Barnes
Maybe a tulpa can help you give up drug I don't think so, tulpa forcing is basically meditation with a focus point. Drug keeps your mind busy, you have to have a clear mind to force.
Nolan Brooks
Don't bother user. They're trying to use you for some unknown reason. I wouldn't trust the op at all. Perhaps using an external source. Even then they'll probably try and ruin you. Their secret is out.
Blake Bailey
From what has been posted in the last threads I think only the people who create tulpas while on drugs fuck it up, you could test it if you wanted by making a tulpa without drugs and then taking drugs. I think it would work fine desu.
Help my tulpa wont stop speaking in mongolian and tells me to suck his mongloid dick what do
Easton Cox
See what I mean? Fucking hell. I hope this doesn't end the Jow Forums tulpa threads, I've enjoyed them. But yes, use an external source first. suck his mongoloid dick lmoa
I don't think I really talk to myself enough. I suppose if I'm thinking I could direct my thoughts at the space within my mind where the tulpa will reside. Hah. We know to ignore them but the newcomers don't. Maybe put something about it in the op next thread? Basically.
No. It is a shitty psyop to take advantage of lonely robots. Proof in this thread. Don't be fooled.
Joseph Gonzalez
Best i can do is through lucid dreaming but that's pretty rare so it's mostly just talking to myself and answering back as a different persona.
Andrew Torres
>Maybe put something about it in the op next thread? I probably will, although if this ends up getting stuck on discord shit then I'll probably just stop making these threads. I really regret putting that >inb4 discorp >inb4 psyop bit in the OP now. I'm so fucking stupid, I should have known Jesus fuck. I hope the mods don't ban this stuff too.
Gavin Myers
stands are psychic powers visualized as spiritual beings. tulpas are psychological beings created through spiritual processes.
Jaxson Hall
Stop while you are ahead. You are being actively tricked by shitty discord drama. You should get out while you can.
Ayden Nelson
>it's a psyop to take advantage of people Explain how providing a way to alleviate loneliness, increase happiness, and prevent suicide is a psyop?
Alexander Thomas
>See what I mean? Fucking hell. I hope this doesn't end the Jow Forums tulpa threads, I've enjoyed them. But yes, use an external source first. You seem pretty new to tulpa threads, you're not aware of their life cycle. They tend to work as such:
When tulpa threads appear after a long absence, people will happily talk about their experiences and answer questions. Even shitposters will have their concerns politely addressed. There is much novelty, new content and excitement in the threads.
After the first few threads, they degenerate. The same few tulpafags gets tired of answering the same questions over and over again. The same couple of interesting experiences gets shared, and there are no more. If you think about it, most of your experience with your tulpa is just you living your life. Dramatic or spectacular shit happens pretty rarely because life is not an anime or shonen manga where tulpas battle each other nightly on the astral realms.
The last stage in the life cycle of tulpa threads is where they're buried in shitposting that people don't bother to respond to, where the occasional psychological tulpafag bickers with the metaphysical tulpafag, and ultimate lonely generals would be posted with only a couple of replies before they die out. At this point tulpa threads would disappear for a long while.
Months or years down the road, someone would post a new thread and the same cycle would begin anew. The threads will end. But they will be back too.
They are just a first stage of development into the ringleaders sick fetish.
Noah James
>I'll probably just stop making these threads Please don't :'{ Joy-user hasn't once linked the discord where Reiko and his cvlt live, I don't understand why some poeple are accusing him of conspiring with them. Isn't their whole plan to make robots into ugly traps and be blackmailed into joining their cvlt?
It isn't but because it was started by haruka people itt are assuming the whole thing is a psyop. I am really new to tulpa threads, but I was hoping to get this to become a regular thing for Jow Forums. It's certainly more helpful to the average robot than /r9gay/ and stuff like that.
Brandon Harris
well great now you got me wanting a shounen battle show where kids make tulpas and lucid dream to fight on the astral plane at night in tournaments.
Eli Garcia
I'll be honest, every time I see these tulpa threads I question my own sanity. Why should we give our sub conscious a name and why tulpa? I dont understand the reasoning behind naming it. All this time I just thought the person I'm talking to in my head is me. I've had suspicions that it was something else entirely because I've ran experiments to try to get my sub conscious to say something and if it says it I'll believe it's just me. I'm scared if I label these thoughts of a person talking in my head as an "entity", I'll go insane. Why should I call it a tulpa? Why is he so funny? If it is an entity and a person of his own consciousness, how does it communicate indirectly or in other words, read my mind?
Gavin Brown
You shouldn't do this stay away. These threads are just here to trick you. Proof in this very thread. Stop while you're ahead.
Charles Lopez
How do I get my tulpa to start conversation, I usually have to initiate conversation, and it is only a few replies at best.
Leo Ortiz
>I am really new to tulpa threads, but I was hoping to get this to become a regular thing for Jow Forums. It's certainly more helpful to the average robot than /r9gay/ and stuff like that.
If you really want to make this work, maybe just post these once a week or something. Back to back generals will lead to what I described. Tulpas as a topic just don't have as much OC going on for it. Don't worry about whatever discord drama there is, it'll disappear like a fart in the wind while tulpa shit will still stick around years down the road.
Owen Rivera
>why tulpa It's from some buddhist shit. >All this time I just thought the person I'm talking to in my head is me It is you. Unless you picture someone else saying it or it doesn't have a separate personality from you, it isn't a tulpa. >how does it communicate It lives in your head so it can essentially hear your conscious thoughts. That's how it works for me anyways. How far along are you? Mine didn't initiate conversation until three or four weeks in and even then it was just stuff like "I like x". It'll get better with time don't worry. I guess a weekly tulpa general would be good, I've been enjoying having them back to back, but ironically it's been taking up my time to actually talk with Joy.
Isaiah Morgan
I've been working on it for five days, so that's reassuring
Colton Clark
In short a tulpa is a consciousness created by you (on purpose not through necessity necessarily) that exists parallel to your own consciousness. I think what you are describing is your mind voice, it's your own voice inside your head telling you what you're thinking about. I was actually thinking of making a thread straight after the other one died. I don't mind making a thread every so often.
>I'll be honest, every time I see these tulpa threads I question my own sanity. Why should we give our sub conscious a name and why tulpa? To learn more about yourself and the world. To prove that you can. Because you can. To become happier? Many different reasons.
>All this time I just thought the person I'm talking to in my head is me. You're certainly much more than the voice speaking in your mind. Even when the voice is completely silent you are still there somehow. That thing is only the tip of a much bigger iceberg. You don't even have to do the whole tulpa thing, just try to meditate a bit and maybe read more on this topic, I think you'd find it interesting. You have a good concern that can easily be explored by yourself.
>I'm scared if I label these thoughts of a person talking in my head as an "entity", I'll go insane. People have done far stranger things and came out fine. Your mind is stronger than you think. Take things a little bit at a time with meditation or even just some breathing exercises if you're curious about these sort of topics.
>Why should I call it a tulpa? Why is he so funny? You can call it little fucking bunny-fufu if it pleases you.
>If it is an entity and a person of his own consciousness, how does it communicate indirectly or in other words, read my mind? I don't know. But you can ask the same questions to Christians on how they can communicate with their god. Or any religious people on how they think their gods can know what they're thinking. Hell, ask a guy who claims he's summoned goetic demons to explain how communication worked. On this question, you can accept what people with relevant experience say, try it out yourself and know the answer first hand, or walk away knowing you'll never know for sure, and be at peace with that because you didn't feel like paying the price for the answer.
Yeah I'm starting to think about occam's razor with this. There's literally things about "tulpa's" that doesn't seem like it's necessary. Thanks for the heads up user, I'll actively avoid mental questioning from now on.
Here's the link to the art of mind doll program : mega.nz/#!6jIzkQoQ!nE2mVpQRjAz5x_gK72fRLu7Mzp77iD5MW3SIcYWHKos . Remember to read the PDF first, it takes about 3 or 4 months or more to complete the program. Hey Joy-user or whoever gonna start the next thread, I think we should include this in the first post, it maybe helpful your beginners.
Give them the freedom to comment. Like, when something weird happens just sit quiet and gauge their reaction and their comment before you comment yourself. Eventually they'll be comfortable being the first to speak.
>tfw it's making me install the map I'll make sure to include it in the OP if I start the next thread. it's
Jacob Jones
Just a quick question From what I gathered from a few minutes of reading, I basically conjure an imaginary friend and interact with it like any other person until it becomes independent?
It's a guided meditation for creating tulpa. There's a thread on 8ch about it with many positive comments. Here's the link to that thread : ***.net/hypno/res/26622.html ( Replace *** with 8ch ) Just untick the Mega desktop app and click download
Nolan Roberts
Pretty much, although you need to focus a bit more than just imagining it. Just make sure to treat it like a real person.
Kayden Sullivan
It says the file is too big. original pepperoni pizza
Gavin Hernandez
So can you still download it ? I can try another host ?
Ryder Hernandez
Oh! Could be helpful! 5 mins remaining (unless mine also says too large). I'll take a quick look before bed, thanks!
I experience quite a bit of gender dysphoria. Would making a tulpa that embodies my personality when I feel dysphonic be an acceptable option? I already separate myself into boy user and girl user, so could I just redirect this energy into a tulpa?
Colton Hall
I don't think that'd be a problem, especially if it helps you feel more sure of yourself. Gender dysphoria is shit. I'm sure it would be better than going on hrt and chopping your balls off.
Angel Wright
Hopefully I can get something going. I definitely agree that a tulpa would be better than going full trans. My family can't disown me for making a tulpa because I can keep it private. Everyone notices when someone changes genders, but no one has to know about a tulpa
Jace King
As long as you dissipate it afterwards that should work.
Ryder Cooper
First time i've heard the word Tulpa and i've had one since i was 11 apparently lmao
Michael Cox
Am schizophrenic. Did I accidentally tulpa?
Adrian Evans
No user, schizo is bad for you while tulpa is supportive and good for you
