What have you done today to improve your mental/physical/spiritual wellbeing user?
Modern society is to blame for there being so many people who don't deserve to live. Most people in the West used to harden as they grow on their own, like anywhere else. Now without effort you can remain indefinitely infantile due to our decadence. There were always outliers that became like this throughout history, but now the general masses have succumbed to this condition. There is no longer a rite of passage into adulthood, you can be sheltered and live comfortably. This is de-evolution. Everyone has a dandy-ol time being a degenerate well into their 50s. Constant entertainment, pre-cooked meals and pornography has robbed us of our man-hood.
Nevertheless you as an individual can always chose to go against the flow and struggle and persevere while the rest of society rots and withers away. It's not an easy path, but you go on because you know that you are in the right and that in the end you will be vindicated.
Exactly because the modern world is so self-destructive half the battle is just weathering the storm until the whole edifice has degenerated so much that we can rise and deal the final blow.
Set goals for yourself aswell. See if you can lift sandbags that weigh up to 80kgs eventually. Carry it on your shoulders, throw it as far as you can, attempt to eventually lift it with nothing but a single grip. Get used to being able to punch something aswell. Do NOT be a limp wristed fageutte who would cry if he gets hit. Be able to defend yourself.
Did this today >5x10 bicep-hammer curls >4x10 Tricep Extensions >3x10 standing shoulder press >3x10 Concentration curls We cant let the degenerates have their way. Move iron, if youre afraid to go to the gym and cant afford weights to have at home do push ups, situps, run in place, etc. Don't accept the degeneracy these faggots try to push on us. Ate 3000 calories of high quality food, went out running for 90 minutes, did heavy weightlifting just now. Now im going home to make some scrambled eggs and go to bed Very good day Last month i managed to gain 5 lbs, very nice

God bless you, user; this was exactly what I needed to hear today.

>I finished reading Julius Evola's Path of Cinnabar. It was a fantastic book; he explained a lot of his points in a more accessible way and explained how his idealogy developed over the years.
>I talked and flirted with girls in my dance class It's been a long time coming; now that I work out I feel a lot more confident talking to girls and if I weren't so autistic I might be able to snag a gf or something
>kept track of my calories I've lost a ton of weight and people have been noticing; a lot of my clothes don't fit well anymore.
I'm torn on what I want to read next: >A book on Arthurian Legends >Revolt Against the Modern World >Paradise Lost

I know fuck all about working out so for the past few weeks I've been doing 4x30 bicep curls on each arm some workout where you do your shoulders some other one where you lift a weight above your head or some shit 10 x 6 and some weird forearm workout sounds retarded but it's actually working which I was surprised at, I actually have arms now which is nice. I do them every other day, I might steal some of your workout, or maybe all of it.
Eli Allen
Cycled to and from work, it was raining in the morning. I cycled up the hill all the way to my home, which last week completely stole my breath but now I get there only breathing a little heavy.
I also got through an entire day at work only eating 2x oranges and 6x oatcakes. Tomorrow I might work my arms and back out a little
>sounds retarded but it's actually working That's all that matters user. I've been trying to get back what I had a few years ago before I graduated high school >I might steal your workout Feel free to, I'd do more for arms/shoulders but I don't have time to go to the gym, so I have a few dumbells at home. If you go to the gym I recommend preacher curls as well. That used to work for me.
Luis Brooks
The secret to having big arms is not in simple bicep curls user. The triceps are a larger muscle group that make your arms look way bigger than the biceps. Split that 4x30 into 3x10 or 15 for biceps and triceps. You're gonna make it. Keep researching the human body and argument your workout regularly to maximize your results.

ASSISTANCE FROM Jow Forums! Thank you brother, we need the help dispelling what is left of the trap heathens
Parker Clark
They're on the defensive right now. This is the perfect time to dump what we've got and change the board. They're too busy trying to shill the "traps are part and parcel to Jow Forums" meme that we have a great opportunity to flood the board with quality threads.
Jace Richardson
hmmmmm, would tricep extensions work? my main concern over everything is my shoulder width though as after losing quite a bit of weight I look like a brick, my shoulders are only slightly larger in width than my hips, so I've been doing the standing shoulder press exercise, what else do I need or would doing these be alright? I do about 10x6 of these and I am seeing a bit of improvement
Please have more of these threads, less self pity and traps.
Isaiah Lewis
So in relation to gains does nofap actually do anything? I'm on day 3 to purge myself from degeneracy which is porn but I was also wondering would I potentially get more gains?
I've tried to fix up my posture for once. Gonna start jogging and doing body weight workouts tomorrow aswell.
Juan Wilson
Your shoulder width doesn't matter so long as your full range of motion isn't hindered. Honestly I'd recommend a routine with emphasis on Compound Lifts(deadlift, squat, dips, overheads, etc).
Generally speaking just doing regular exercise is better than most people. Once you've attained the habit of working out on schedule then adjusting the routine and seeing results become trivial. So to answer your questions tricep extensions are good for shredding the tris. You can also try different variants of pushups that target the triceps, as well as dips. You're on the right track user. I don't doubt that you'll be making it.
Potentially. You're using less protein for sperm production. Also a build up of testosterone will help you push beyond whatever limits you perceive in yourself.
Carter Ortiz
Try making a habit of cardio and keep a progress log. For posture related issues, I recommend being mindful of it. Chin and eyes forward, neck loose and upright, and chest up and out. (Not too extremely, you'll feel it once you get it right) Swimming can also help you tremendously with posture. Avoid sitting for long periods of time especially in couch-like seats. They don't promote good posture. Medicine ball is actually really good to sit in for short periods of time.
just realised, I could just lose the bit of love handles that I have as they haven't all gone yet in order to make my shoulders appear wider.
James Jones
Love handles? Oh snap m8. Do you have a hidden Adonis belt? If you're significantly lower body fat with love handles you might have a hidden feature in your physique.
This was just arms day user. I don't have enough weights to do effective bench press so I do 10X10 pushups at least once a week. Also do 5 sets of 10 on squat (only 80 pounds though cause heaviest dumbells I have are 40 pounds)
>What have you done today to improve your mental/physical/spiritual wellbeing user? Started first session with new therapist, he's a lot more straightforward than my old one which seems to be a good thing so far. One thing that popped out is him telling me that I have to hate my current lifestyle and get actively angry at it in a positive way. I think complacency is what's fucking destroying me so this may be what I need.
He's also trying to get me to set up goals, write about what I want from life and divvy up my free time better.
Connor Long
Sounds like a competent chap. Take his advice to heart and put it into practice.
Ryder Carter
Hey /sig/ what are some constructive/nondegenerative ways to unwind? Reading takes a lot out of me mentally and I need a way to relax in between long chapters.
Asher Nelson
Have a walk outside. No phone/music, just you and nature.
Adrian Myers
Anyone here ever tried a Ketogenic diet?
Lucas Roberts
Yes, testosterone helps build muscle mass
Nathan Allen
I walk around a lot already; anything else, preferably indoors in general
Jason Gomez
You can always try making food. Of course you wouldn't do every time you have leisurely time. Alternatively you can always watch a movie or a couple of episodes of your favourite show. Personally my down-time and work go hand in hand, so no matter what I'm doing I'm being productive. Ideally you'd want that.
Adam Rogers
Rest day today, plus laundry day. So no gym today. I'll be back for more strength tomorrow.
Yeah I can max out each set. Guess I should move up. I was doing a high number of reps because its only 25 pounder per arm (except for tricep extensions, one 40 pounder cause its heaviest dumbbell I have)
Lincoln Adams
>Best way to build neck/trap muscles?
Barbel/dumbbell shrugs and standing up barbell/dumbell rows are what come to mind.
Pull ups also, if you can manage it.
Jonathan Stewart
>Yeah I can max out each set. Guess I should move up. Definitely, other wise while you may gain some marginal strength, you'll gain no definition or as much strength than if you went up.
For bicep/tricep stuff, go up in 1-2kg intervals. Once you can get max reps you go up again.
Remember to keep protein up everyday, and not repeat the same workouts the next day.
Ayden Davis
3x10 sound good for shrugs?
Aiden Perez
>3x10 sound good for shrugs?
Ye. Hold it up for about 2-3 seconds. And if you're maxing out your reps then the weight isn't high enough.
Tyler Howard
Alright thanks user. I avoid doing the same workout the day after Ive already done it. The muscle needs time to heal
Christopher Perez
Nice post m8, i wanna lose some weight an gain muscle i will try this and post in the future.
Don't forget to teach yourself useful skills, guys. When things break down, learn to fix them. The more often you do this, the more intuitive fixing the next problem will become. I'm working on my own car these days, and unless it's an electrical problem I won't take it to any sort of shop. Save money for tools, buy them as you need them per project and invest in a nice toolbox. Same applies to household work.

Also, idk if you gym or use home stuff. But if you or your gym has a smith machine. Avoid it like the plague.
Mason Russell
Don't go to the gym, use dumbells at home, I know what a smith machine is though. Allows you to lift more (IE Cheat)
Easton Anderson
I was going to boot camp in less than a month so I'm somewhat working on getting ready for that.
>Don't go to the gym, use dumbells at home Fair enough.
Once you've maxed out your home weights, probably in a few months, then you'll want to transition to a gym for more weights.
Ye, it doesn't train your stabilizer muscles, so you're strength is weakened just by that.
(also avoid gym machines, keep to free weights as much as you can)
Lincoln Young
>Deleted all porn I have from my phone >As well as any bookmarks I found a YouTube channel run by this Swedish dude. It's called the golden one. He's been influential in making life decisions for self improvement. >Ordered The Prince by Machiavelli, Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, and Beyond Good and Evel by Nietzsche. I've also been listening to "The Rational Male" on audio. Heavily recommended.
>Once you've maxed out your home weights I think I already have. Ive actually increased the number of sets I do to try and get more life out of the weights. Its hard to get over to the gym because of uni. Either I'm too busy to go or its so packed I cant use the equipment. Guess I just need to force my way in though and lift
John Myers
I'd recommend 'How Much Land Does A Man Need' if you're looking for recommendations.
>I think I already have. Ive actually increased the number of sets I do to try and get more life out of the weights. Its hard to get over to the gym because of uni. Either I'm too busy to go or its so packed I cant use the equipment. Guess I just need to force my way in though and lift Increasing sets can only do so much. Maybe try and buy heavier weights if you can, if not then you'll just have to make time for the gym.

Thanks, I'll give it a read sometime!
