It is true that many movies and games and such do depend on the viewer deriving satisfaction from the protagonist murdering others, and those are seen as normal and totally acceptable forms of entertainment. It's a way to feed something in them, but people don't freak out about that stuff because they know that they themselves aren't at risk of murdering anyone. The fact that they have that little itch that's satisfying to scratch through entertainment doesn't mean they have such a repressed brutality and rage that they're going to hurt anyone.

People are more afraid that if they do derive satisfaction from non-vanilla forms of sexual fantasy, that people will hate them for it, so they're too insecure to humor the thought.
One difference, though, is that watching violent films doesn't harm how you're conditioned to respond to situations, immediately wanting someone to die. With porn, you can mess yourself up, requiring things that you may not prefer at heart to get really aroused. That's another topic, though, outside of whether or not it'll lead to people committing crimes in real life.
