Great game. The sequel took it to new heights with the circuit board things to introduce simple programming to the levels. I also like how all the game developer created levels in the campaign mode were replicable in the in game editor.

Pokemon Emerald.

When I played Pokemon as a kid, I had no idea the depth behind the game or how good you could actually become as a trainer. These days I have several level 100s and I still can't beat the battle frontier. It has to be one of the hardest games I've ever played.

Emerald is the best Pokemon, I'll fight someone disagreeing with that. I beat the frontier took me like 6 months after finishing all the other stuff

Super Mario Galaxy. I know it's a pretty normie/soyboy choice but the general feel and aesthetics of the game influenced me a lot when I was a kid. It was so much fun exploring all of those crazy planets and stuff as a twelve year old. There was such a sense of loneliness and solitude too, with the calming soundtrack and the darkness of space surrounding you throughout the entire game, but there were still moments of fun and happiness every once in a while with places like beach bowl galaxy.
