yet they're still able to provide proof and reputable references about their work ethics, personality and their persona in general.
When I interview people I don't ask people to prove they didn't do anything wrong, if I'm accusing them the weight of proving their wrong doings falls on me. So we focus on what they can offer the company, what they're able to prove, and their past achievements and recommendation letters.

The argument going on in this thread outlines a flaw with capitalism, there are not enough jobs for every person who is qualified or able and so intense competition arises. Because of this competiton, only those willing to give up other meaningful facets of their lives,( ie. Health, morals, happiness etc.) are able to attain jobs in their field. This in itself is not a bad thing as it allows for the most efficient and qualified workers to attain jobs but oftentimes this type of system accompanies emphasis on individualism as well. We often find outselves in situations where we are putting down others who dont deserve it for the sake of a job, or those who do not succeed are blamed for not giving up other important assets to them in order to simply live. This is very contradictory in my opinion. I am not going say capitalism doesnt also have positives but it is certainly not without flaws.
