Why do you still live with your parents? Don't you want to be independent?
Why do you still live with your parents? Don't you want to be independent?
>Don't you want to be independent?
No.
I moved out at 24 to a city 150+ miles away.
Shit was great for a while but I fell out with my housemates because my best mate there got his first ever woman at 25... and she was A FUCKING NIGHTMARE... like, left used tampons on the bathroom side and never washed up and left everything in a shitheap.
I got more and more depressed as my mate took her side all the time as it was his first pussy... and I drank more and more and snapped and ended up moving back home at 27.
Now I'm 31 and still living at home and going nowhere fast.
It's a lot cheaper.
I've lived other places, with friends or strangers. It's overrated.
Because i'm poor and living with my parents is the cheapest option.
>inb4 get a job
If i get a job, i end up an endless cycle of monthly bills/salary and i can't save any money.
There's nothing better out there. I get a minimal amount of social interaction to avoid losing sense of reality, and I don't have to live with my peers and listen to them having sex.
Does Jesus have a place for me?
>Now I'm 31 and still living at home and going nowhere fast.
Are you a NEET now?
What am i supposed to be independent for? Why should i take some mega expensive loan to live in some ran down garbage apartment for 2000$ a month, when i can just pay my parents a rent every month and live in my old room.
That's why you get a job while living at home.
Because I'd rather be dead than in employment, once I graduate I'll hang from a tree.
I did the math. Its not worth it.
>Why do you still live with your parents?
Because I only have to pay the cable/internet and water bills each month, plus I get the company of my parents and get my mom's homemade cooking each night (unless we go out to eat).
The only reason I'd want to move out is if I get a gf and we need privacy to fuck. Seeing that I'm on r9k, that's not close to happening so...
>Don't you want to be independent?
Literally couldn't care less.
How does the math work out for you? Does something get cut off if you get a job?
I live with my mom yes. on autismbucks.
Ah. Welfare family.
That sucks. You're basically trapped.
>Don't you want to be independent?
Yea good luck finding an affordable job, house, and vehicle in this ridiculously stressed economy. I don't live with my parents but It is LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE to get your own house without outside help. You want a house you need a good job, degree, or family. Anyone who says they "did it all themselves" is a liar.
I live in the third world and moving out of your parents' house is literally impossible if you're not rich. Even my parents only managed to move as far as my mom's parents' backyard. Then my grandparents died and we got their house. Same thing will happen when my parents die, and if I ever manage to have children somehow, same thing will happen again.
Yeah I had a job for a while but had a panic attack at the shop I worked at and freaked out and just closed the shop up in the middle of the day because I was the only one there.
Owners weren't happy, so I quit on the spot.
That was 3 years ago or so, maybe 4.
Ever since then just been drinking and collecting NEET cash and trying and failing.
But hey, shit's gonna work out... fed up of being negative ennit, I'm gonna do alright eventually.
I moved out 4 years ago.
I save more money living with them and they need the rent money. They could make more renting out my room but can consider the difference worth it since I'm not going to trash the place and they can have me help with the heavy lifting.
