Partially. When women cheat they think they're entitled to it. When men cheat and get caught if they actually want to stay with their SO they just tell the truth and apologize. They usually aren't trying to do some ten story manipulation, deny they ever did anything wrong, have emotions such as "I felt a lack of attention" basically as you said, no emotion involved.
