Another big thing is they give certain minorities huge advantages in both applications and financial aid. My best friend got a scholarship for being the "most Hispanic" person in my school. Look at some statistics on the average SAT scores and GPAs needed to get into American schools by race. Asians are hugely discriminated against while blacks are let into ivy league schools with SAT scores that are mid to low tier school levels.

Eh, it's okay but it's getting worse. My generation (I'm 19) and the generation before us are heavily Americanised and have this deeply ingrained inferiority complex and self hatred built into us. Many people see anything traditionally Irish as backwards and oppressive Catholic influenced shite, and look to the outside world for inspiration.
I won't go into politics here but we are on a fast track to becoming Sweden 2.0.
Outside of our political climate, I live like 5 minutes outside of Dublin and I have only ever been to to West about 3 times. I am interested in nature and stuff but I don't have a car yet so I can't really get anywhere without using a train and it's not really worth it since I have like no friends.
Also, I just don't really have the time to go anywhere with work and I'll be starting college soon.
I'd love to get into hiking but all the groups are full of old people and/or faggot hippies.

Why do euro countries do this? All I want to do is experience Euro culture but I'm afraid that by the time I have the money all Western Europe is just going to be like every major american shithole city. Is this hatred of one's culture unique to Western Europe?
