>he's majoring or majored in English/Lit, Art, Liberal Arts, Anthropology, Education, Communications, Religious Studies, Ethnic/Race based degrees, Sociology, Fashion, Theatre, Music, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Journalism, Advertising, Graphic Design, Human Resources, Child/Family studies, or Photography
I hope you know your degree is absolute brainlet tier and completely worthless. If you're majoring in any of these, rethink your life. Just trying to be helpful.
He's majoring or majored in English/Lit, Art, Liberal Arts, Anthropology, Education, Communications, Religious Studies...
>not on this list
was a close one but i made it this time
What's your degree friend?
>stemlets actually believe this
>Engineering
>TI 85
My baby is my TI 30XS faggot. Had her since 2012.
>MLP shirt and tail
Clearly youve never met an actual engineering student. No one does this. Maybe CS (that's not engineering), and those would be the people who quit. Not insane enough
>Cries self to sleep
More just like reflect on my shit life
>history is not there
whew for a second what i always knew was confirmed by a random user
>someone went through the effort to make this pic in order to get (You)'s
Christ...
High five fellow history major-er
why would Jow Forums shit on their own meme major?
Bruh, it's the exact opossite
>Liberal arts degree
>>Respected by society
>>>Kek
I would do history if I could get a job in it easily. Of course, I cant get an internship in engineering either, so go figure
All undergrads are brainlet, especially if you're not in a top tier (e.g. Ivy, Oxbridge, MIT, Berkely) program.
Seriously STEM is superior but most STEM people are brainlets too. Don't gloat until you've made it in your field.
most of the stem meme dies after the first 2 years
the ones that are left either understand their brainletism or know they're going to make it by then
No degree i went working at a factory after school, only fags go to university.
>he doesn't know that there are entire worlds of study that aren't calculations and STEM-related
lmaoing at stem-bois and there cute little superiority complexes.
AXCHUUALLEE history is indeed a brainlet degree but because there are so few history majors, history degree majors are semi-in-demand.
Wish I could've done this but, didn't know anyone at a factory, and they wanted anywhere from 5-10 years experience, so I did the only thing I knew to do, go to college.
Mightve been a mistake
Congrats on $14 and hour I guess?
Yeah, I kinda wanna TA one of the weedput courses like Orgo just so I can help crush people's dreams.
But my program doesn't have a TA requirement and I'm not gonna go into academia so it's not worth it.
>he's happy with being not just a brainlet, but a turbo-brainlet
You're worse than any uni student, no matter what degree.
Some people just want to study a subject they're passionate in, not everyone needs to major in cs or engineering to be successful or make money.
>rethink your life.
I dont have a life
What's wrong with criminal justice?
I got a degree in Education and Im currently using it to travel the world. I dont really care about making money, and the only reason I got this degree was specifically for it. I dont need to rethink my life because I have more life experience at 28 than most will have their entire life. Teaching english is a rewarding career path and I have never regretted it a single time
except for my first job in china which was scuffed as fuck in a shitty neighborhood
Nah that's wrong. I have an MS in genetics and I have vastly more respect for workmen, technicians, mechanics and the like than I do for some fucking English major who has never put his mind to good use and doesn't do dangerous work, in a lab.
>I kinda wanna TA one of the weedput courses like Orgo just so I can help crush people's dreams.
>being/wanting to be this much of a sociopath
compensating for something?
>poli sci not on the list
Close one.
I have brainletism but i think I've grasped it well enough that if I put in the effort I can make it. About to finish up year 3 (assuming finals go well)
A guy I know majored in English and is teaching English in Japan and he's pretty happy. Unfortunately a lot of people think that making six figures working in something tech related equals happiness but that's not the case for some people.
Every retard and their mom are majoring in it. Unless you've been a cop for a few years, you're really not going to have many opportunities after getting a degree in crim justice.
>MS in genetics
and that's why you're working in a factory after school, right?
See Same thing applies...for the most part.
'ello fellow starbucks barista
you are still in time to go back before you lose any interest in it and just do it for the fancy paper.
I'm mostly peeved that so many people try to do a bio major solely because they want the prestige/money of an MD.
>"will this be on the test?"
Fuck you, kid. I just want to teach undergrads who are actually passionate about bio.
Why are STEMlords so insecure?
Hiya, fellow polisci friend
At least you could go to law school with that degree user.
he didn't mention history, looks like I'm clear
I'm not that guy.
Currently I'm doing a PhD at duke, though I actually DID work in a factory at one point, so I know what I'm talking about when comparing English majors to factory workers.
>implying that would be hard for an art student.
It's the only thing they're good at so at least give them some credit.
Criminal justice degrees make it easier to get hired and promoted as a cop.
Helo fren
I can but don't want to because I'm tired of school and it seems tedious.
i'm a TA myself. not a good one, but at least i know the subject
some of the students in my class literally have no grasp of the material and have been so far behind i wish i had the authority to be able to tell them to drop out and take a remedial class.
>Race based degrees
does this even exist?
I heard if you get it while youre a cop you get an immediate promotion but if you aren't a cop yet and get it you start out the same as all new cops.
Are you getting an AA then your BA, or straight to BA?
>i wish i had the authority to be able to tell them to drop out and take a remedial class.
Do they explicitly prevent you from giving advice like that?
But yeah, the state of undergrad degrees is a sad state of affairs. Even at top tier schools there's a lot of people who just plain don't care too much. Since college is the new high school, people just go because they have to.
And them some of them have the gall to act elitist, when anyone with a pulse and a loan can get a diploma.
Have AA getting BA in fall.
>he doesn't know about African American Studies
Unfortunately this exists...
Yeah I gave up and just finished my BA. I am just going to apply to my local PD.
>I'm mostly peeved that so many people try to do a bio major solely because they want the prestige/money of an MD.
You're peeved that someone wants to succeed in something even though they don't have that much of an austistic interest in it?
You might as well fail half the doctors in med school.
Well, I mean if you go to a top law school then you shouldn't have a problem making 150k+ a year, seems like a good reward for 3 extra years of school.
Yes, and they're bullshit worth less than nothing, even by the standards of liberal arts. It's easy money for the university because even the most pitiful brainlet can pass without ever looking at the textbook so long as they can stomach the Marxist Kool-Aid.
You can go to law school with any bachelor's degree. God, STEMfags are really idiots..
I know but the work would be too tedious and I would probably drop. I'm not capable of difficult work both because I'm a brainlet and because I never study and am almost physically incapable of doing so. The only reason I've made it this far is because everything has been very easy and forgiving and I've cheated like crazy in my online classes.
>You're peeved that someone wants to succeed in something even though they don't have that much of an austistic interest in it?
Yes because they actually have an impact on how we teach bio to the rest of the undergrads.
>You might as well fail half the doctors in med school.
Personally I'd like to see a system where people can directly go to med school after high school, but there's like a 2-year period where they cram in the pre-recs. It's like that in many European countries.
But that's never gonna happen because schools make mad cash from the 4-year degree meme.
Neither did i. Just went there asked where the boss was. I didnt ask him if they were hiring or had any jobs for me. I said i came about the job. Next day a sustadhed venezuelan guy was teching me how to use a wrench. Good times.
Where my finance/economic bros at?
>tfw not autistic STEMfag
>tfw not shitty arts fag
Feels good man
I dont need a lot of money since i am single. On the plus side i put myself theough zero stress. At the factory i had zero human interaction. Just me and the machine i operated. Real sad they closed it down
Well I fucked up. College meme found a way to get me. Too late to go back now
So the myth is working apparently
CIS major here. I'm technically STEM but I also have to take a shit ton of finance classes (already completed my econ classes).
And robots, more than any, are too beta to want a "career path".
Just a "job" is fine as long as it pays for my candy and internet
it's unprofessional and grounds for the student to complain to someone about it. not my business at all to intervene.
imagine if your TA that doesn't spoonfeed you answers to problem sets (he's a bad teacher amirite doesn't teach at all) suddenly tells you "yeah this isn't working out. please leave my class."
it's easy to spin me into the wrong.
i try to help them but i just don't know how to unless i reset the board and start the fundamentals from the ground up. these people have not solved a single problem on their own. it's obvious they found the answers to all their assignments online, and i am not a good enough teacher to be charged with this task.
>Yes because they actually have an impact on how we teach bio to the rest of the undergrads.
you mean you can put even more work on them and have them pay money to learn more from books?
>Do they explicitly prevent you from giving advice like that?
Those spoiled, coddled kids would be on the phone to Mommy so fast, and have the TA (who is a starving student themselves) fired instantly because their precious child is telling them they're getting an A in it
