make a move bro

I am trying to get into chess. I have known how to play for years but now at the age of 21, I want to take it seriously. Been practicing for only 2 weeks. I make so many dumb errors though. On chess.com, I cannoteven beat the computer on level 1. Are there any books I can read to help me get better or is it just a matter of playing again and again?

what shitty game lul

Just play for fun for about a year, you will become better than 90 % of the world. Do not try to learn or study it. Its a waste of time for you. You will never achieve something at your age.

Check out the italian opening, works for both black and white.

Also, as black, play King's Indian Defence against d4

Go to chesstempo.com, get a gold membership, create a problem set for problems with a rating between 800 and 1200. Fully solve the problems, not just guessing.

Lastly, play 15|10 games, and review each game after its conclusion.

> You will never achieve something at your age

Why do you say that user? Is it really impossible to not be a beginner when you get into chess at a later age?

And I'm almost certain you're right to an extent

It's possible though but there's a lot of obstacle before you get paid to play. Constantly tricking your oppenent while knowing the best move is a taste of hell.

Chess is the most boring and basic form of strategy

and most people couldn't beat a 13 yr old chess prodigy

Because it's boring and tedious, not because it's particularly complicated. It also helps that a prodigy is by definition an exceptional person far above the average.

your delusions knows no limits

gtfo and play wow instead little boy

I'll just embarrass myself

I'm pretty sure you don't know what a move means

alright robots, lets play
