here is a drawing i did a few years ago for a Pathfinder game.

it's a kneaded eraser, or putty rubber. For those kinds of drawings I just cut out a little piece of gum and roll it into a small, pointy "pike", so I have more control over the parts I want to erase or blur. Here's a landscape I did, notice I used the kneaded eraser to create the clouds.
Actually I picked up drawing again in March, after three years or so where I focused on improving my piano skills.

I think I could write a long essay on the subject, but mostly two things: if the piece transmits the intent of the author, and, perhaps more vain yet simpler, if it is aesthetic. A painting, or a melody, so beautiful and created only for the sake of it being beautiful, and not for the various and often inexplicable meanings behind a piece of art.

exif data gets stripped. most smartphones simply place a string of info in the exif data telling whatever is displaying the image to rotate it to landscape view. when Jow Forums strips that, it displays portrait. at least, i believe that's the case

I hate to tell you this user, but you clearly suffer from symbol drawing. You draw representations of objects rather than shapes and forms that make up the objects. That's why the eyes and nose don't look right, because you draw your idea of what eyes and noses look like rather than how they actually look.

Just remember Lighting makes like 70%, your lense 25% and the camera 5% of a picture. So investing in an expensive cam is mostly just a retarded decision (especially when you start out)
I've used the nikon d7100 for each pic, but was photographing with the nikon d80 for many months before (12y old cam)
this one was taken with the nikon d80 as an example
