Team work in school is practice to make you a good team player. It's shit practice, but that's a different matter.

No, I wasn't a super motivated, super tryhard kid. This was always easy for me, a piece of cake. I never had to try hard at all to do a project all by myself.

I was the nerd of the group. Eventually I stopped caring and willingly did other people's work and tried to pass it off as theirs.
Although, if the teacher was using the system where credit is given based on how much each person contributes, I'd do exactly my fair share and then at the end, there would be 25% of a project completed. I'd get 100% and everyone else would get 0.

Or at least the teach could have forced you into a group. That class must have sucked

I was one of the "haha I don't try and get A's" kind kid in highschool and so teachers would always put me in groups with the guys who never did their work and the chicks who were straight up airheads. Always ended up doing work for 4.

The only thing that I've done that's worse is fucking partner programming, where they've force us to sit down with another person on 1 computer to write code.

I kinda had the same thing going except I never specifically delegated people. I kinda just did a good 80% of the project myself and then when it came time for the presentation I was the only one who knew what the fuck I was talking about, so naturally I did pretty much all of the talking too.

In a way it's actually effective at teaching students how to work as part of a team. You may not like it and it may not be fair but that's the reality. One guy does all the work while everyone else slacks off and socializes. This is true in most workplaces. The normalfags get to hang out because they're social. Their contributions are in raising morale among coworkers so that rather than working it's more like hanging out with friends. That's what the normies are practicing for in school: hanging out and having fun instead of working. You're practicing for your role in the group: the workhorse. You don't go to work to hang out with friends, you go to do the job. If everyone thought this way the workplace would be less fun for everyone. That's why the normalfags are forgiven for their laziness. It's also why you're forgiven for your seriousness. Each person has their role to play. It's dumb as hell but that's how it actually works.

They want to beable to just focus on the group of the sexiest kids, and segregate the uglies.
