Asocial behavior, constant elaborate daydreaming about other worlds, the feeling of utter boredom or indifference most of the time, and the lack of desire to socialize with people, even my own family.

Hard to say whether these are the symptoms of me being a schizoid or just long-term depression though.

Op out of curiosity is your schizoid behavior because of social issues?

I exhibit all the symptoms but it's really just because I'm terrified of socializing and don't trust people so I prefer to keep up a mask instead. I still desire socialization though and that's why I do it anonymously and day dream about different lives.

That sounds more like Avoidant Personality Disorder.
The main difference between the two is the "motivation" behind the lack of being social.
Avoidants are afraid, Schizoids just don't give a fuck.

Diagnosed AvPD-fag here. Schizoid and AvPD are nothing alike tbqh, maybe a bit superficially but the inner world and defense mechanism are wildly different. AvPD is much more similar to BPD than anything else. Not that you implying they were, but a lot of people here seem to have that impression.

Right now yeah, but I live in a country where it's pretty easy to get so my diagnosis doesn't really have anything to do with it. I don't get a higher amount than normal people who are just temporarily unemployed.

Thing is it's a mix of both. I'm not so much afraid of social encounters so much as I disappoint myself in them, so I resort to not caring about relationships and putting on an act of being normal and just trying to communicate with others as little as possible. Most people would say I'm just a reserved person, the worst is when I get told a joke because I don't laugh. What also separates me from having regular social anxiety is I have no issue in non social interaction, like I can do customer service, stand up for myself, all that stuff.
