Read the sticky, Satan.

Plates and big 4 lifts

OHP/Bench/Squat/Diddly
they represent how many pl8 on each exercise. Its a pretty good benchmark for people starting out and looking to set 6 month / 1 year goals. Also nice quads.

Lessen the weight?

it means 100 lbs for OHP 200lbs for bench 300lbs for the deadlift and 400lbs for the squat

wrong

ah yes i mixed up the deadlift and the squat my bad bro

I started three weeks ago and I'm at 0.5/1/1.5/2 for reps. I want to hit 1/2/3/4 for reps in ~1 year and then transition to a more hypertrophy based routine. Is this doable?
It doesn't. It means a 1pl8 OHP, 2pl8 bench, etc etc where 1pl8 means you are lifting the bar and 1 (one) 20kg/45lb plate on each end.

>counting the bar

it's not hundreds of pounds, it's by amount of plates on each side of the bar, 1 plate on each side for ohp, 2 plates on each side for bench, 3 for squat, 4 for deadlift which translates to

135/225/315/405

i can't believe i answered this fucking troll post seriously fuck you

>quads for not reading the sticky
the absolute state of this board...

Why are the women laughing? I dont get it.

Manlet

1 plate on each side is 2 plates though. Also the bar weighs 20 kg(same as a plate) which means 1 pl8 OHP is lifting the bar

I'm at 0.5/0.4/1/1.5
>inb4 dyel
I know

I'll answer you, but only because you're satan.

1/2/3/4 refers to a strength standard
1 plate overhead press (60kg)
2 plate bench (100kg)
3 plate squat (140kg)
4 plate deadlift (180kg)

it's the bare minimum requirement to not be considered weak, if you can't do one of those lifts then you're weak

Iv been lifting for 3 months and stalled already

Feels bad man

Bait as fuck dude. Who would train 1 year to OHP just the bar

Is this bait? You're really wrong. 3pl8 by your standards is 1pl8 for everyone else, sorry buddy.

>smaller bench than OHP
Wait a minute, my nigga. Literally how?

oh shit i meant 0.8 bench lmao

I count the bar for OHP but not bench for an ego boost

Started SL 3 weeks ago. Gonna hit 1pl8 squat on my next session, and I'm super excited. This is a huge milestone for me. Overall lifts so far are:
70/110/130/165
in lbs. Deads feel a bit easy so far still, but OHP progression is getting pretty damn tough. Bench and squat feel like they're improving at the rate the program recommends. Hope my OHP can hold out for a while longer. I'd like to get a lot closer to 1pl8 before I start to lose beginner gains.
