Military

Is it worth it?

If you're dumb as bricks, maybe

even if, not really.

If you don't know what you want to do just get a job for a few years then go to school

Take the ASVAB.

If you’re a loser, yes.

Do you want to be special forces? Are you capable for being special forces?

If Yes => your dream job awaits... or you end up on a boat/sub/etc.

Do you have no other way to get a good job?

If yes => There are other ways, but why not

Do you truly believe in service to your country via the military?

If yes => You are delusional and you may end up with PTSD (if so, get some MDMA when you are out) but you may find it rewarding

Do you want to be in the military because it is tacticool?

If yes => stay out

yes, especially if you're a loser with no drive, it'll teach you perseverance, determination and give you a solid base of fitness. As much as most ex-military will hate to admit it, some of the best times of their lives were in the military

>t. high school drop-out, joined infantry, deployed, discharged and now almost an EE.

If your parents are to poor to pay for you to go to college then the army has a good scholarship, even if you join the army reserve you still get the scholarship.

If you have rich parents just skip the Army and go straight to collage.

joining for the "adventure" is beyond fucking stupid.

>Diggles

It's fun and you learn a lot of useful things and skills, a year or two is enough.

Is that a manlet platoon?

>be me
>join the army
>our sgt instructor's name is Diggles
>get Diggled days on end
>finish training
>got send in the field
>some dudes in camp start talking about drill
>'what about you user ?'
>'I-I got Diggled every day'
>they all stare at me
>pass a few days
>everybody on camp thinks i'm a queer now

It's pretty great

REEEEEEE

I just got turned down from JAG, so fuck the military.

>feels bad man

>modern military with drones and shitty uniforms
>fighting pointless wars for Israel
>not going on glorious crusades against communism and international Jewry

I'm afraid it's not.

Depends, I was 23 dropped out of college and had not a whole lot going for me. Scored pretty high on the asvab and got an electricians job for jets and it's pretty nice.

If you get a decent job in the military, especially one that can you get experience and skills from that can transfer over into civilian life and get you a good job, then yes. If you go infantry or some low caliber job then fuck no. You'll either be a lifer until you get retirement, which isn't bad, or you'll leave after a shitty 4-6 year contract and have no siills to apply in the civilian world and you'll be fucked to work the same jobs you were working before you went in.

if you're a brainlet or poor then yes. Do 20 years and you can retire as a neet with full benefits for life. Join Navy for claustrophobic comfiness. If you don't like it after 4 years then get out

pic looks comfy

maybe

YES it's only 4 years and you get great life experience, benefits and opportunities.

> get to fight islamic fundamentalists with state of the art weaponry
> get ~$1,000 for "muh tinnitus" disability for life
> one of the last vestiges of masculinity
> free college for you or a child
> 0% down payment on VA home loan
> free or reduced cost healthcare
> looks great on a job application
yeah sure sounds like a waste of 4 years

>end up on a boat

Why do normies think the only way to do cool guy shit is to join the navy seals?

Army Rangers, Green berets, force recon, PJ, TACP, CCT, hell even EOD can all gurantee you cool guy stuff

Dont ask a bunch of autists on a north korean image board for advice on if the military is worth it.

Anything outside of the airforce or SOF will be shit.

brb getting new sides

It's pretty much only viable for burgers. Also
> get to fight islamic fundamentalists with state of the art weaponry
is obviously a joke, you're just as likely to end up giving them fire support.

damn dude, impressive to be chatting with a real life CIA operations analyst. once in a lifetime bro, i'm honored

why would you give your precious lifetime and youth to take orders from some asshole?

Or you could read a newspaper once in a while.

We choose Israel over mudshits fuck off

yellow journalism bro

Is becoming a marine/navy pilot worth it?

>Diggles
why does everyone in the picture look like a literal retard? Is it a requirement to join or a biproduct of getting brainwashed by fat old men?

>submitting your body and mind to an institution is masculine

I am a laffin

>joining the Air Force or the Coast Guard
go for it dude
>joining the Navy
ehh good luck
>joining the Army or Marines
do you enjoy suffering?

That PV2 cocksucker side-eying the DS needs a good healthy dose of corrective training.

The military/GI bill covered my AAS, BA, and 2 MAs so if you go in with the right mindset and don’t get caught up in crippling alcoholism it can be worth it.

If you can join special forces then it is definitely worth it, if not you are just some random retard who will end up with PTSD

>why would you give your precious lifetime
Some people who join haven't got anything else going for them
I reckon the traveling could be quite nice

There are so many other ways to be masculine, and nearly all of of them don't involve getting your psyche wrecked by PTSD and your body destroyed by warfare.

Millions of men like you have enlisted with the dream of coming out of the army as a powerful masculine chad, but the transition back to civilian life is extremely testing for someone with PTSD. Unfortunately, there is a good chance you will wind up in the fetal position under a bridge with a needle in your arm.

>shitty uniforms
Dude, sure the nazis look cool and all but unpractical and on the field you prefer function over form

Hello civfag. You know that the military isn't split into infantry and special forces, right?

>American Army
Not worth
>Any other army in any other country
Worth

>If yes => You are delusional
pathetic. fighting for your interests of your country is dignified and soyboys who hate themselves and their countries will never understand this.

>the single best-supplied, best-benefits army in the world
>not worth
>sub-par do-nothing armies that rely on the American army anyway
>worth
Can civilians just stop fucking posting in these threads? We get it, you're butthurt.

There are very few careers that will give you a salary and full benefits and fully train you and all you need to qualify for is not be genetically defective.

If you’re an 18 year old kid who barely passed high school it’s a great opportunity.

If youre a Stanford grad with a chemical engineering degree obviously it’s not.

Been in for 12 years went from enlisted to officer. You definitely earn your paycheck and are miserable a lot. However your “coworkers” are generally driven, enthusiastic, great people which is rare from what I’ve seen in the civvy world.

kek. you think fighting for the chinks, syrians, NKs etc is better than the US military? I mean i know there's a "thing" these days where everyone hates america (including themselves) but this is delusional

>tfw i want to join airforce in my country
>tfw i succeed i will be forced to fight sandniggers because amerimutts occupy my country

risking your life for govbux to defend israel.
>no thank you

>collaborating with other countries to improve your nation's standing in the world
sounds awful doesn't it

You should want to do that anyway, Hans. We may be occupying, but they're invading.

If youre gonna join do your research. Look for a job that will give you training that can translate to shot outside of the military.

I joined the navy and I'm getting training on radars n shit.

military best thing to ever happen to someone who cant afford college. theres so.many benefits. its the only social program in the US. you have to earn your mini socialism. just pick a good job, and dont join the navy to be stuck on a boat. DONT GO AS OPEN CAREER. if you cant get an interesting job that will give you real skills, just grab any non combat office job and take classes while you are in service because you wont work crazy hours as a medical or office job. dont let them pressure you in joining quickly if a good job isnt available. be patient and dont be afraid to say no to your recruiter when he says “hey brah i dont think any jobs will come up you either take this open slot or you might not get in” its bullshit. he needs you as much as you need him, very few people want to join the military that dont have previous criminal records and/or a decent asvab score and/or some other disqualification
