My life have at least one beach episode (and one pool episode) per year.
It's usually run for eight hours, and a there's beach volleyball segment in it (Karaoke in the pool episode).
Here is how it usually goes:
8am - Arrival time, table setup, shower
9am
10am
11am
12pm - beach volley ball (karaoke if pool)
1pm
2pm
3pm - table clean-up, shower
4pm - Departure time

To put stuff on, dumdum. It can be just a mat, like the ones you see on animes, or a rented hut. It depends on the size of the group.

Fuck that. I don't like the beach that much and I live in a beach town in Florida. It's alright for an hour or two if you're surfing or walking down the beach at sunrise/sunset (and stellar for cardio if you run in the sand), but 8 hours would be miserable.
