Not overweight for sure, and on the verge of athletic. Still need a few pounds gone but you're close. Might want to start considering adding some abs in your workout.

Have you tried switching up your routine? If you normally hang out in the 5 rep range change to 8-12 and vice versa. Play with your resting times. Are you getting enough sleep?

Yeah I literally hate direct ab work but for the past two weeks I’ve been putting it in my routine, so hearing this is some good reenforecement. I also started a little cut 2 weeks ago, I’m losing a steady 1.5 lbs a week.

I switch up rep ranges all the time. If it's a feeling strong day, I build up to a 5rep max followed by a delaod set. In the gym right now feeling like literal dogshit, can't lift heavy at all. I did back/legs:

>20mins of incline interval running
>3x10 BW wide grip pullup
>2xfailure decline crunch
>3x15 65lb DB row (usual standard is 3x5x100lb)
>3x12x135 sumo deadlifts
>3x12x135 rack shrugs

Alternate day is usually some version of bench, cable flies, hammer curls, triceps pushdowns, lat raises

Abs aren't the most fun for sure. Just make sure you find a way to bring in hanging knee raises and stomach vacuums at some point.

Hanging knees give great definition to the lower abs.

Vacuums help bring in the stomach and can be done pretty much anytime, anywhere.

1400 calories? damn that's low, when i cut i try to eat ATLEAST 1800calories, and i do some morning cardio ( powerwalks ) and i go to the gym 4 times a week and working as hard as i can. I only eat carbs ( brown rice ) after a hard workout in the gym, on the other days i only eat this
>Breakfast - Cottage cheese 400g, a sliced banana, and a big cup of black coffe.
>Meal ( usually after workouts ) Chicken/Salmon/red meat with alot of frozen veggies.
>Evening - Cottage cheese or a swedish thing called ''Kvarg'' it's almost the same thing.
But remember, this took Four years, i have only been training seriously since august 2017 and thats where i started to cut, which is like 7 months ago, lost 20kg.
Also.. find a new gym, or do shitload of exercises at home, and dont forget your daily cardio. And also brah, dont measure your waist every day there's no point you're not going to see progress like that in a day. When i step on a weight scale i usually do it once a week. but i dont see any physical changes except every third month, because loosing fat while building muscle takes ALOT of time, just be dedicated , dont have any cheat days

This might be the problem, 1 and a half year ago i couldn't take my fatness anymore, so i started to starve myself (1000 calories a day no gym, didnt really have time, only 200 sit ups). Due to the fact that i've been heavy on meds, i had time to stop taking them as my allergetics passed, but with starving combined, i went from 96 kg to 70 kg in 2 months, and then i ended up in hospital lol.

The bad news with your starvation is that you didnt only loose fat, you also lost ALOT of muscle tissue. And yes i suggest that you stop measuring your waist, or atleast slow down, measure every third month, then you will be alot happier with your progress.

How many years lifting?

4 months

If you can't do them from hanging, start with leg lifts while you are laying on the ground. Just be sure to do them straight legged, with as little swing as possible. Swinging uses momentum and not strength, and bent legs shortens the range of motion and acts as a cheat.

Once you are doing enough of those, then go to the dip station and let your legs hang. If you dont have a dip station you can just grab any overhead pullup bar and hang(it will be harder for sure). You will you raise your legs as best as you can parallel to the ground. Again, dont use momentum to "cheat" until those final few reps. You want to have complete control of your lower body/legs as you lift your legs. If that means you need to pause at the bottom then do it.

Once you can no longer do that, feel free to bend your legs and just raise your knee to your chest, with the same controlled motion, focusing on your abs contracting to pull the legs up. Cheat using momentum on the final reps if you need to, but otherwise you want to control and contract to get those muscles worked properly. Eventually you will get the numbers up. Even if it means only doing three at a time. Do three at a time.

Abs are extremely trainable so you can easily train this multiple times a week.


Vacuums are basically just sucking in your stomach as deep into your body and as high as possible. Imagine pulling your diaphragm into your chest.
You can do them on the train, in bed, sitting at a desk, pretty much anywhere and allow you to basically train your abs to hold your stomach in.

You can pretty much do vacuums every day of the week.
