Personally I like House, but he's against the Brotherhood of Steel which means I end up switching sides to Yes Man halfway through the game whenever I decide to support him.
Such a pity.
The Legion is for edgelords and the Republic is basically Hillary Clinton America if she won the elections. But that's just my personal opinion.
I liked The Legion philosophy of survival of the fittest but after ceasar death they would fail so I always was neutral/helping NCR a little bit
Luke Anderson
The enclave. Sure their methods are extreme and would take time and resources but it's the only actual faction with competent leaders who would be able to bring post war America back and are the closet faction with ties to post war America.
Unironicaly legion. Legion seemed like the logical choice really.
Ian Hughes
I sided with the Legion but as a female character so they treated me like shit and got literally nothing in return. No title, no armor, nothing. Ironic, isn't it.
Liam Jackson
House is the best option. He has the potential to rebuild things better than they were before, more so than any of the other factions. This would still be true if House were some kind of dictator, but he isn't. He simply wishes to preside over the strip and dam mainly, and given the fact that he's to thank for stopping most of the bombs in that area, he's pretty much the rightful owner of anything in region. He claims he would be an autocrat but for the most part let people do what they wanted so long as they didn't interfere with him.
I wonder how things would go down if House and the Institute crossed paths, as they inevitably would assuming they both survived the endings to their respective games.
Sebastian Martinez
That's the way it should be. Women don't need to be adventurers or doing manly man things with other men. They are liabilities and nothing more. Only reason a woman should be in the army is to please those on her platoon as a bed warmer.
Aaron Cox
i pick a new one every time but ncr is the best.
Evan Myers
>ncr is the best that's a weird way to spell shitty
they're basically just the same old song and dance that led to the bombs going off in the first place. corrupt, bureaucratic, tax-hungry jokes. They're a better option than the legion, because the legion uses actual slaves and literally chuck spears like niggers. But aside from that, i'd rather have complete anarchy in the Mojave than have the U.S. Government part 2: Electric Boogaloo. House is the only option if you want humanity to progress past what there was in the pre-war world, instead of just emulate it or play pretend.
Ethan Ortiz
realistically the ncr would probably fail. but in the game they are definitely the best ending. house tends to the strip but outside of it he doesnt care. if anything were to progress in the strip house would monopolize it. the ncr at least provides law to most of the wasteland. legion is too short minded and like user said before, without ceaser they would crumble. yes man is way too neutral. without any rule progress would be incredibly slow. it would take great leaders to further anything.
Colton Richardson
This is correct, House is the only one actually able to rebuild New Vegas.
Blake Reed
I sided with the NCR but I was mad that they were enemies with the brother hood of steel. However, there's a point in the game that allows you to have both factions make piece with each other and thus I was able to receive power armor training from the brotherhood.
Levi Cooper
House is a great leader, though. He has an army of robots to do his bidding (not to mention the courier), nd considering the fact that he took a bunch of tribal savages and turned them into something half-way respectable, I think given enough time he could do a lot with the area outside the strip. All he would really need to do at first would be to send a couple securitrons and maybe a few hired mercs to maintain order in each settlement. His real problem would be eradicating the monsters and drugged-out raiders that infest the area. He would probably end up doing this sooner or later because it served his interests more than anything. The NCR would have a harder time cleansing the wasteland than House would, however the NCR would probably start working on the problem posthaste rather than when it suited them. At least House wouldn't start instituting any real laws or gather taxes from people. Its clear that he's more capable than the NCR, but he's more selfish indeed.
Eli Myers
yes man, why would i subjugate myself underneath a "faction"
Colton Carter
NCR restoring law and order is the only way to secure the future
Jonathan Harris
This is second best option after House. All the endings have 3 different paths depending on the karma of your courier. So a good karma Yes Man ending isn't too bad. Bit of an ancap ending instead of all-out chaos. But when the courier dies, things will inevitably go back to the way they were. So its bittersweet. Can definitely be the most selfish of the endings.
Kevin Evans
i really doubt house would expand outside of the strip though. sure, he would expand it. but other areas would be considered ruled by savages and he wouldn't do anything about it. i dont feel he is a great leader because he only manipulates the courier and uses only robots to do his bidding. when it comes to personal skills, he lacks. ncr has the middle ground between personal skills and technological skills to complete tasks. they dont rely on people as much as ceaser does, but they dont rely technology as much as house does. after all, if you emp house, he is finished.
Connor Cruz
The NCR's only good quality is their ideals. They're completely incapable of supporting themselves, and are just another government waiting to be overthrown.
Juan Robinson
Legion because they're the only ones with someone who understands how to think systematically at the top.
Every other faction would just break down within a decade. And with you servicing Caesar's cock he won't die.
Matthew Garcia
Pouder gangers. Then my game corrupts a savefile and I uninstall. Every fucking time.
If you guys spent less time arguing about video game factions and more time levling up IRL maybe youd have a girl
Aaron Cook
I sided with Fallout 3 because it was more fun
Levi Garcia
>if you emp house, he is finished. Yes, but the only one with the power to do that is the courier. If the NCR had the ability to do that, I'm sure thats the first thing they would have tried. >i really doubt house would expand outside of the strip though. at first, I agree. But he clearly has aspirations beyond the Strip and the Dam. I imagine his first targets would be Helios One, the BoS bunker, Repconn, and anywhere else technology or data could be found that would be of use to him. He has a fuckton of robots at his disposal, and in one of the ending slides it says he sends Victor back to Goodsprings to protect them, and to spy on the town. I can imagine he would eventually send them to more and more settlements, not out of the kindness of his heart, but to ensure his goals are coming to fruition and everything is going his way. >And with you servicing Caesar's cock he won't die. Not right away from the tumor, but he is still only human. Unless Caesar has a worthy protege, the legion will likely schism or go though many power vacuums. House has the longest life-expectancy of anyone in the game, so the fact that he is a charismatic, technological and economic genius who can live virtually forever is a very good thing for the people in area. girls are nowhere near as deep or interesting as Fallout New Vegas. Which is pretty fucking sad.
Okay, Todd. Shouldn't you be working on Skyrim for Android and iOS?
Nicholas Roberts
Yes Man is as close to dystopian Ancapistan as I can get Caesar's Legion had a Lawful Evil vibe that was cool too
Connor Nelson
Is that youTodd?
Ian Watson
N-no. Buy Skyrim vr please.
Bentley Adams
None. No Gods, No Masters.
Justin Gutierrez
The only issue I can see with house is the very long term. We don't know exactly how long he has left to live for. His mental health is at an even greater risk since he's put so much pressure and responsibility on himself. He considers no one to be his equal, and no one can replace him.
Julian Parker
>The Virgin Powder Gangers >Not the Chad Great Khans Pathetic.
David Jones
Nv was no where near as good as you guys think it is. Take the redpill
Jose Richardson
This is actually a good concern. He seems to believe he has at least another 100 years, whether or not he's correct I don't know. But lets also imagine he sends many many robots across the country to scout for people of worth. He's an extremely smart guy, but he can't do everything himself, robots or not. He will need more scientists on his side.
I can imagine House discovering the Institute or vice-versa, since New Vegas is a famous place in the wasteland (nobody seems to know about it on the east coast but its inevitable that word will reach them someday). If he has ambitions of reaching the stars and sending ships to colonize other planets, he would probably start scooping up as many scientists as he could find, and the institute might be convinced by his ability to bring progress, just as he would see their potential, and maybe find people there he considered as smart as him.
I could definitely see a House/Institute joint effort within 50 years from FO4/NV. That is, so long as they don't go to war with each other. But I think they're all smart enough to not waste time and money on a never-ending robot vs. synth war.
Aaron Hall
Mr. House is always the one that seemed the best and most logical choice to me, and the one which if I were to actually be in that situation I would go with.
However the Legion choice was fun when I tried a character like that.
>muh ebil nazi enclave >muh knights of the round table with lasers >muh revelation 21:6 >muh water purifier Fallout 3 was dogshit compared to New Vegas.
Tyler Cruz
That makes sense, but at the same time he's been alive for 200+ years now and seems as sharp and "alive" as ever.
If it were like, 10-50 years after when he should have naturally died and was still alive, I think those concerns would be valid. After 200 years though, it's not a non-issue, but it drops much lower I think.
Cameron Johnson
This but I feel like Bethesda's East Coast lore isn't really "canon" the same way as 1,2 and NV are. Their iterations of stuff like Enclave, BoS and Super Mutants are basically like fanfiction spinoffs.
Christopher Reed
>God Tier Elijah
Ian Sanchez
This, except >chairmen >top tier why? all the families on the strip seem irrelevant to the real shit going on. Is it because they say "ring-a-ding, baby"? Because that is amusing.
Lincoln Carter
More interesting I think, would be the Institute VS the Big Empty. Both establishments which went into super science ends, but in different directions.
Jordan Moore
10 INT YESMAN HEADCANNON COURIER!!! AFTER LEARNING EVERYTHING I CAN FROM ELLIJA, BECOMING A SHAMAN IN HONEST HEARTS, CURBSTOMPING THE SHIT OUT OF THE ENTIRE BIG MT AND TAKING THEIR TECH FOR MY OWN AND THEN TAKING CONTROLL OF ALL THE MILITARY UNITS IN THE DIVIDE, WHO'S TO FUCKING STOP ME FROM BECOMING AN IMMORTAL CYBORG SHAMAN OVERLORD!??!?!?!? YES MAN SUCK A DICK, MY COURIER TAKES PERSONAL CONTROLL OF EVERYTHING AFTER PURGING HIS SHIT AI FROM EVERY COMPUTER IN THE WASTELAND
Aiden Perry
Of course. Even the White Gloves at least have the cannibal society going on, so they're more interesting than the lameass Omertas.
>He claims he would be an autocrat but for the most part let people do what they wanted so long as they didn't interfere with him.
This is the same guy who starts punitively taxing towns that accepted NCR help to stay alive, and who wiped out the Kings if they work with the NCR to clean up Freeside (which is the objective good ending for Freeside). He also lets the Omertas traffic sex slaves openly because it's an "authentically criminal" part of the Vegas which he fetishes. House a shit.
Austin Hernandez
I think the Institute would win on the basis of man power alone. If a single courier can fuck shit up there, I can only imagine what 100 synth courser armed to the teeth could do. The fact that the institute can just make endless amounts people make them a very formidable foe, the only course of action is to destroy them from inside out to stop the synth process.
Aiden Clark
youll have soldiers from the brotherhood on your side, the boomers will side with you personally as well, and with yes man you get control of the robot army as well. and if you really wanted to you could just nuke the legion and ncr and become the only remaining power in the region
Ryan Miller
But a single Sole Survivor can fuck up the Institute. I wouldn't base either group's strength on a player character, which is basically a force of nature.
Joshua Reyes
Why do you care about the brotherhood? They have cool armor? The BoS is actively stopping progress and House was in the right wiping them out. The NCR is for idealist fools, the legion is for regressive edgelords and Yes man is for special snowflakes, House is the only one who can bring progress to the wasteland.
Julian Garcia
I could believe that, if he didn't look like this. I know he's not gonna look great, going way beyond his expiration date. But this is clearly a dying man, the technology has just slowed it down immensely.
Hey, the enclave are the remnants of pre war America's government. I really like the BoS, but I'm more into Lyon's ideals. I really think the NCR would be the best thing for everyone in the Mojave. The Enclave should've been victorious in previous games, because ghouls are not people and I wish they were all gone and took all those nasty muties with them. To wrap up, every single time I play I help the NCR. Don't thread on the bear, boys
Chase Jones
>This is the same guy who starts punitively taxing towns that accepted NCR help to stay alive, You'll have to give more details, I don't remember that part, its been awhile >and who wiped out the Kings if they work with the NCR to clean up Freeside (which is the objective good ending for Freeside). The Kings are faggy gang bangers, and if they work with the NCR they are in his way, if they side against the NCR he allows them free-reign of Freeside (for the time being). House will allow people to live their lives so long as it doesn't interfere with his interests. Like I said before, he's the reason that part of the country isn't a crater, so he has a rightful claim to any land in the Mojave. It wouldn't be there without him. >He also lets the Omertas traffic sex slaves openly because it's an "authentically criminal" part of the Vegas which he fetishes. House a shit. I don't recall him ever saying that's why he allows it, but that is a good argument for why he isn't moral per se. But i've never said he's a paragon of morality, he's simply the best hope for progress for the future of humanity. But also, is it made clear that the Omertas traffic slaves? I was under the impression they were simply prostitutes who made the mistake of getting hooked on chems (or were chem addicts who resorted to selling their bodies). In any case, none of the factions (aside from maybe a morally good Yes Man ending) would do anything about sex slavery/prostitution on the Strip. The NCR loves paying for whores, and the Legion would literally just fuck them for no money, making them slaves all the more.
Hudson Flores
Question, who would win LATEGAME between Lone Survivor, Courier 6 and Sole Survivor?
>Lone Survivor Brotherhood of Steel veteran with alien knowledge and having lived through several post-apocalyptic wars
>Courier Six Big MT cyborg fucker with shaman knowledge having survived The Divide, the harshest place on earth
>Sole Survivor Pre-war veteran with institute knowledge, BoS training and better gunplay lmao
I'm voting Courier 6, Big MT and cyborg stuff is just too powerful
James Peterson
I took it as that, what you see there is basically just what his body has dwindled to and will remain at indefinitely. Like, say his body withered to that much (essentially the bare minimum) when he got to be like 150 years old, and ever since he hasn't/won't degrade any more.
I could be wrong, but I took him on his own confidence that he could live more or less forever.
Levi Gomez
I think you mean the Lone Wanderer. But for me, its definitely the LW or Courier 6. Like you said, cyborg stuff is really powerful, but alien knowledge trumps institute knowledge. Its just a question of whether the LW can understand and use the alien knowledge to take down cyborg courier. The alien weapons are also powerful, but if the courier is super durable and fast, who knows.
Caleb Bennett
Courier has the potential to easily win, at least from a gameplay perspective, because of Suvival stat and the poisons from it.
Fucker just trembles up a throwing knife or something, and boom, is free to wail on the others to death with impunity while they're stuck on the ground. Essentially the RPG aspects of NV are deeper so it allows for much more dangerous characterss.
Logan Hall
Courier. Dude faces off against those cazadores north of goodsprings and giant scorpion robots. Not to mention he butchers Lanius lol
Jordan Myers
That may be a possibility, but in my eyes, it shows there's a hard limit to what he's capable of. He can't stop the deterioration of his body, and he can't restore himself. He can only slow down the process. I doubt that he can last 100 more years. He can many great things in that time, but he isn't immortal.
Nolan Morgan
woah there, take it slow now, it aint a race, why not give the vigor tester a try
Juan Richardson
>I liked The Legion philosophy of survival of the fittest what the hell are you doing on my board you fucking uber-Chad normalniggerfaggot kys cunt
Isaiah Williams
>the self inserter virgin Vs. >the fantasy role player chad
Jeremiah Taylor
When i first played this game I killed Doc Mitchell, dragged his body into the bathtub, and then closed the door just in case someone came into his house. From that point on I killed every npc i saw since the start of Good-Springs. Best play through 10/10
How long did it take and how many quests were failed ? I like playing with NPC ragdolls too (undress them for women+nude mode)
Nolan Foster
I mean every quest was failed unless it was the main story line which you can get away doing even if every one dies. Like when i first got to the Elvis people i killed all of them without even giving them a chance to talk. You don't get quest xp but you get so much xp by killing. I always found a way on to the next zone. And I mean everyone died as soon as they appeared on my screen. I did a lot of quick saving for the best outcome :D
Josiah Mitchell
I usually don't side with any faction and just RP as an Enclave agent sent to destabilize the region
