well i used a brosplit for decent gains before in the past, plus SS/SL don't really appeal to me as i've done them before but never seem to recover between workouts cos im eating in a -500 cal deficit

When I lifted in highschool I only did brosplits but it just seems dumb in retrospect only hitting specific muscles once a week. You pretty much HAVE to go to the gym 5 days a week otherwise you're going to have a lagging body part. Maybe you should do calisthenics at home until you're done losing weight and then you can eat normally and do a proper compound routine at the gym without recovery issues.

I started nofapping yesterday. I know people call it a meme but I managed to pull through last night, which was the toughest time because I fap during that time the most + have trouble sleeping at night. This is fixing my self-esteem so I'll continue doing it. Plus it's making me go to they gym or exercise more often (I used to only walk for 25min, 3 times a week which isn't going to do fuck all and been doing it too long without improving on it)

How are you guys today? Who's made it, is making it, or who's struggling? Who's just starting, whose a veteran? Starting weights, current weights, goal weights.

I'm currently making it. Started at 250 in November of last year, currently 193.0 as of this morning. Goal weight is 170 under 15%bf. As for my day I cheat SOME on saturdays, eat about 300 calories of whatever on top of my regular meal. I only have big cheat meals every 10lbs down and even then I don't eat that much. Can't wait to start bulking.

I'm struggling. I'm 204 today. I was 192 on Mar 20 thinking that I had finally broken a two month plateau between 193-195. My lifts were suffering so I took a week off from intermittent fasting to eat at a surplus. I didn't count shit which was a mistake. I ate clean though. My lifts went up. Was doing more reps to failure than I've ever done before and am looking at going up in weights now so I put on a little muscle. I went up 12 pounds though and most of that is not lean mass. Started doing intermittent fasting again this week. Dropped back down to 198 by Thursday. Was 199 yesterday after drinking half a bottle of wine with dinner Thursday night. Yesterday I had a cheat day. Eight taquitos for breakfast, Lunch was a stir fry of a can of squid in garlic sauce, can of kippered herring, small box of chopped mushrooms, and a mix of bell peppers and onions. Half a bag of beef jerky for an afternoon snack. Dinner was the cheat meal. Two rolls of sushi and sushi style Jalapeno poppers. I'm 204 today after being 199 yesterday and I have my weakness to blame myself for that. Currently drinking tea and waiting for 1pm to take my supplements and eat lunch.

Look into stir fries. Really easy and you can scale them to however big you want and since they're mostly vegetables they tend to be low calorie as long as you don't add a bunch of oil or sauces.

It's up to you. If you're undertrained start lifting now whether you decide to bulk or cut. New training and retraining you'll see progress on. If you go for a cut just realize you're just retaining as much muscle as possible by lifting while you are shrinking both fat and lean mass. If you go for a bulk go as clean as possible and you still will have to cut fat later. It's a cycle of building muscle and then cutting fat.

I just started walking 1/4 mile at the start, then increased by 1/4 mile every day up to 5 miles, on the days I jog I the 5 and walk 3 more. Gradual increases.

I started doing keto. I don't track my macros tho. I just make sure that I consume less than 20g of carbs a day, I really need to start tracking.

Went from 420 to 350 since January 1st.

I work out every other day as well. Going to start swimming every other day soon.

Is there anything else I should be doing? I can see my stomach getting smaller, this is gonna take like 2 years to get to 170 tho :/

Keto has specific macros. You can't get too much protein than your body uses or it will turn into glucose. That's why ketofags eat such a high amount of fat. Consistency is key in all of this. Keep doing the same good habits over and over again and you will make it.

use TVP as your taco meat. flavor it with beef or chicken broth and your regular seasonings.

lemon juice, soy sauce, red pepper, red cayanne and balsalmic vinegar, marinated for 3 days. It is extremely tender and juicy. I marinated about 6 of these bad boys for this week.

Just had some scrambled eggs with some diced jalapenos and a few grams of mexican shredded cheese. Was really good.
