This doesn't mean that being transgender isn't a real condition though. If their neurology is the basis behind behaving like the opposite sex, then it's not like you can treat that with therapy.

Theres a bunch of studies that show differences in androgenic receptors, and a few with estrogen receptor differences before transitioning, so hormones are actually a valid treatment for the condition.
