Does anyone here miss the 2000s? I was a 90s baby but I don't remember it and the 2010s are shit so far.
>no reddit, facebook, twitter
>Jow Forums still alive

>no snapchat and instagram whores
>no tumblr
>newspapers
>paper books
>flip phones

The 2000s were comfy af.
Does anyone here miss the 2000s? I was a 90s baby but I don't remember it and the 2010s are shit so far
>2010's are shit so far
>so far
they're almost over brobot
feel old yet?
But these last 2 years could be good, r-right?
suuure, yeah lets go with that
>rock died after the 2000's
I guarantee the 2020s are going to be wild. The last ww2 veterans are going to die. Wild.
>The 2000s were comfy af.
What in the flying fuck you stupid nigger?
Besides terrorists blowing up everything from busses, metros, trains and busses, 2 fucking wars, tsunamis that killed half a million people, hurricanes, bush, patriot act and the worst stock market crash since the great depression. Yeah the 00's was a great fucking decade.
>YouTube still comfy
Youtube was also fucking shit, evolution of dances, chocolate rain, AVGN, armake21 keyboard cat. Fuck there was nothing to watch on that shit site and the video quality was abysmal.
The only thing that was good about Youtube back then was the recommended video algorithms (or lack thereof.) where you could still youutbe surf without getting fed shit you dont want.
>Jow Forums still alive
mixed fucking bag, it was by todays standards pretty fucking cringe. It was 9gag tier level of interaction with sporadic moments of genious. Just read screencaps from pre 2007 and it's pretty cringe.
>we do not forgive
>rules 1 and 2 newfag
>Desu desu desu desu desu desu
The 00's was fucking horrible.
Yes, badly. school was shit but the internet was great.
>Besides terrorists blowing up everything from busses, metros, trains and busses, 2 fucking wars, tsunamis that killed half a million people, hurricanes, bush, patriot act and the worst stock market crash since the great depression. Yeah the 00's was a great fucking decade.
Most of these are still happening, user.
I feel like the internet as a whole was much more earnest, and not nearly as jaded, compared to how it is today.
imo it was the last decade where the internet still felt untamed, like it still belonged to nerds rather than normies. to me that's the biggest appeal and i actually wish i could've experienced the internet in the 90s. must've been fucking wild back then
>no trump
I loved 2000s memes. Although that might be the nostalgia goggles since I've browsed Jow Forums since middle school.
When is he gonna legalize it man
You can get a sort of sense of that checking out onion or i2p sites, but a lot of them are filled with edgelords, and, much like the early 90s-2000s, everything is slow beyond belief.
I mean people were more willing to genuinely put themselves and their feelings out there without feeling the need to hide behind seven layers of post-pseudo-irony. It created a lot of cringe, sure, but also a lot of fulfilling interactions, at least imo.
>more earnest, and not nearly as jaded, compared to how it is today
It wasn't the Internet that changed, it was us.
I dont know if i miss them. It was weird. I was in my 18s it was a confusing time.
Cellphones where only for bizman so not being called or msj all the time was comfy as fuck.
Only a few people had internet in their houses so the getting with friends to play golden eye on N64 drinking beers and smoking weed was fucking amazing.
One of my first dates was going to the movies with a girl to see "cast away" with tom hanks, great movie.
the only good thing from that era i like is the raves. Now they are shit. And a lot of drugs. You could get anything and in good quality cheap prices. Now everything is trash.
I hate the hyperconection of these days. Anyone can reach you at any time, is fucking invasive.
stupit thred die
how about a nice big ol' no u
t. tweIve year old boomer
He literally said what he was talking about. In response your only argument is shit that doesn't directly affect anyone and "i personally don't like it".
The internet changed us and in turn the internet changed with us
>it was by todays standards pretty fucking cringe
So, who the fuck cares about cringe? We were kids then and it was fun. No normies, no Jow Forums. It was alright.
I just miss everything not being about idpol and America being marginally whiter. And of course decent cartoons.
2010-2018 has been the most depressing and shitty years of my life so far. I hope the 2020s is as good as the 1920s is portrayed
in the early 2000, you could find CP on mainstream websites like Yahoo.
If it is then the 2030s-40s will be shitter than 2010s fuck.
But I really wish I could just redo this decade. I fucked up my life.
The 2000s were anything but comfy. More like tragic and tense. The only "comfiness" existed in the budding phenomenon of online escapism and the fact you were almost certainly an ignorant early-teenage faggot. I bet kids growing up in this decade feel the same about the 2010s as you do about the 2000s, completely ignorant to REEEE SJWs and whatever cynical interpretation of consumer technology you want to blather on about. It's called being young, and you are growing out of that carefree worldview.
Why are people so nostalgic for time periods. Every time period is shit. The 90's were no better than now. The 00's were no better than now.
What I'm nostalgic for is just childhood. When your brain was still making connections/firing like crazy and everything had a mysterious and magical tint. There was so much to explore.
Now my brain feels like its constantly in a haze and nothing is amusing. I don't give a fuck about time periods, I just want my sense of wonder back.
The last ww1 veterans weren't dead until the mid-2000s.
>hates identity politics
>wants American to be whiter (which is identity politics)
hmm...
But sjws ruined everything we hold dear to us
