I had a pair before that I ruined with sweat. I'm tempted to get another, is it worth it? they're on sale at amazon. I also amazingly found a pair at office depot once but foolishly didn't buy it.

For the price, PortaPros really can't be beat. They're still some of the most comfortable heaphones I've ever used and if you aren't a sperg the sound leak isn't an issue.
They're not studio-quality but they're rich and much more than good enough to play your normal 320kpbs MP3 and up.

I'm not an audiophile. If I was I'd invest in a real setup and buy speakers.

I merely just love music.

Lel, seriously, PortaPros are perfect for just about everything, and if you're seriously budget-buying a headset for home use only, just stop and save up for something pro-quality.

Forgot to mention, the wireless model sucks dick, but for the price it's good quality. Just lower-fidelity than the wired one and kind of awkward with the remote.

I mean I already knew all of that, I'm just not sure if it's really worth buying again. this is strictly for use in public. I have a pair of sony mdr 7506 but the pads are busted up exposing foam and shit so I could buy replacement pads instead. they're also fold up to be portable although not as small as portapros. I use a pair of AKGs at home though, I like the headband design they have.

The HD650's have rolled off treble amongst many other more complicated factors which makes them poor at revealing all of the details present within a song. Now the HD650's are still an excellent phone in many other regards though hence why they're a favourite, although they're not my cup of tea.
