I personally find mental illness stuff very sad, so I'd say any place where severely delusional people meet and make it worse for themselves (and potentially worse for others to deal with) like gang stalking discussion, bug chasing discussion, snowflakes playing pretend waaay too hard on stuff like tumblr and deviantart, terrified crackpot conspiracy theorists, etc.
What's also sad are the real gems of crazy people documenting themselves, like Randy Stair (although that one's a bit more hilarious), Terry A Davis, Nick Bate, or masaoH (apologies for shilling, I don't know if he's crazy or it's just a really dedicated act)

I once was looking for dalmatians and I found a japanese women living in Spain that had his own chan forum to talk about them dogs.
She was the only one posting, and she has only one thread she used basically as a blog. Towards the end she started blogging about how the older dog was so old she had to walk her without the others and things like that and then the last post how it died.
It's not only the dog part, what got me was that probably almost no one read all that, but she wrote all that anyway.
