I chose it mostly because of the design but found out it's pretty great. The sound is very specific though so it might happen that it doesn't fit the kind of music you want to play. Also the balance is fucked up, crazy neck dive - doesn't bother me at all but I heard a lot of people complain. Good thing is it's built like a tank, can't imagine doing any serious damage to it.

Started playing electric this year, bought a squier bullet because im a cheap fag. I mostly play thrash metal like metallica and megadeth. Yes, single coil is doable for distortion stuff, at least for me. Just want to say that im proud that im able to learn and play Master of puppets and Holy wars on a squier bullet. So thats my story, keeps practicing your instruments robots!

That sounds very specific, any examples you could post? I'm honestly more interested in Post-Punk or Goth Rock sounding stuff. Atleast in terms of what I actually wanna release some day. And knowing theory isn't really necessary but it would definitely help. I'd say learn the basics and then see how you want to continue

How did you originally fuck up?

I play in 2 bands. One is a melodic death metal band and the other one is a more progressive sounding deathcore (meme) vibe to it. Haven't released anything yet tho. I like to play Thy Art Is Murder and Reflections songs mostly. But anything goes. Some blues as well

I at least try to record them thinking maybe one day I'll do something with them. I come back listening to them thinking they're shit and just move on to the next one. Rinse and repeat.

You can try searching for people online if the local scene sucks. Recording your parts or writing a whole song with input from the other members will help you get going more.

Yeah, I was pretty undecided how long it has to last, I thought that since the pattern of this song is pretty repetitive it might be too much to make it last 4 mins so I made it shorter, now that you say it I probably should made it longer with some good bridge I might make it private and pursue it

Thanks ! I used reFX nexus for most of the synth, I also used serum for the bass with a preset I downloaded and some samples for the drums. I also use Massive in most of my songs but not for this one strangely

I use cubase and superior drummer 3 these days. The drum editorin cubase is pretty awesome. I'm looking into try BFD but SD gets the work done at the moment.

The jag's pretty nice, mainly use it for the more hard rocking stuff and use the strat for the clean stuff. The bridge is really shitty and I need to get a new one though. Other than that it's quite nice

Still trying to figure out what I'm trying to make. I have so many influences that I want to combine it's hard to come up with a solid concept to create from. Usually the stuff I play is some form of alt rock, krautrock, punk, ambient, new wave, space rock, psychedelic, synth pop, and pretty much anything else that inspires me. Working on recording some stuff this summer by myself (as I don't need a band)

What modes have you been playing in?

Used to, but got too annoyed. Mainly because at some point it went from fun, rewarding and sometimes challenging creative stuff to just being fucking irritating. I also hate how I cannot just listen to music without thinking of the technicalities. I can't unhear samples and VST's. I can't unhear certain guitar pedals and so on. Shit sucks. Music sucks.

Uhh, i really really wanna make music for video games so Im working toward that. I appreciate all feedback since it helps me get better.
