I didn't want to in the beginning, why should I as a kid, and then even the only one among my classmates of elementary school?

Later on, I realized I need it, accepted the suffering out of my own will.
Have been in treatment for about 8 years.
The results were disappointing, just another failure that showed me that suffering is good for nothing in the end in my case.

Now im missing a molar and have a hole in another tooth. Despite brushing twice a day.

I was too poor for braces. I never had dental or medical insurance my entire life. It led to a lot of bullying in school and people calling me vampire but in the end it didn't really matter that much

I had them, but probably a bit to young. They got taken off and my bottom center 2 teeth got smashed into a v shape. It looks fine but it bothers me so ill go and fix it in the future hopefully.

If your teeth are that fucking bad, any insurance would cover orthodontia. And if your parents are so unbelievably poor that they don't have decent insurance, then you should have been on medicaid, which, again, would have covered them if they were that bad. And if for some reason that wasn't a possibility, almost every orthodontist offers financing on them.

Dangerous to have surgery while you're still growing and a malformed jaw would require surgery, then braces. You could probably get it done now, but it'll cost a lot.

insurance didn't cover it because every ortho we went to said it was considered cosmetic. i have a lot of siblings so it was out of the question for them to pay it off over time and not pay for my siblings braces. and yes, poor and stupid parents is what i meant when i said life fucked me over
