And no. Bullets to the head work because they travel at speeds around 900 feet per second and create an enormous exist wound. An arrow travels much much slower, and it's more likely to push your brain aside than tear it apart.

BUT the arrow MUST travel all the way and leave the bow to be able to "get" all the stored up energy and develop its maximum damage potential
if you don't pull it all the way and give the arrow time to absorb all the stored up energy by not putting enough space between yourself and the target (aka yourself and yourself) you will end up like the deer in anons post >46081024
