My friend that I used to know committed suicide a month ago by jumping off a bridge. They found his rotten body a couple of days ago and his funeral is this friday.
I knew him for an entire year before he started acting like a dick to me for no reason so i cut contact with him. The next thing I knew he jumped off a bridge.
He used to come here and he was very dedicated in fitness. he lifted 5 years and looked great. Idk why he jumped...

A really good friend of mine who was like my older brother, who always called me his little brother, committed suicide last year. My mom even called him her second son. He was my best friend from birth's uncle. Everybody gets visibly depressed when certain songs come on, but it gets better, user. And, sometimes good things still come of it. It brought me and said best friend back together as good buddies, and we even finally started a band like we always said we would, for the benefit that was held, and the band has been together since then. The way I look at it is, he was a really good friend. If he was really feeling that tormented, I can't blame him. I've been there with those feelings, but value life too much. It's like Doug Stanhope once said - "Life is like a movie. If you've sat through more than half of it, and it's sucked every second so far, chances are it's not going to get GREAT right at the last second. Nobody's gonna blame you for walking out early." You'll come around to it. Your friend had his demons, and made his choice. In some ways, I respect the courage it takes to overcome your instincts and do it, to be honest. That said. It still pisses me off he did it in the apartment for our mutual good friend to find him hanging there from the fucking door knob. The guy still can't even fucking go out to bars without panic attacks, because we all hung out and had good times together at all the bars around here together. Be glad you didn't find this friend of yours. To the anons out there: If you ever decide to do it, do it in a way that loved ones won't be first on the scene.

I feel your pain buddy. My childhood best friend broke up with his girlfriend of 2 years and became incredibly depressed. I tried everything to make him feel better but it just wouldnt help, he was reckless, drinking and driving etc. 3 months later he died in a motorcycle accident. He was truly like a brother to me. I had a friend in high school as well. We used to talk a lot about our country's future, the state of the world in general. Had common interests. He was brilliant with a soldering-iron, always worked on some pet project. Launched fucking rockets he built in his back-yard. Got into a great uni, but he was lazy and he couldn't deal with the theoretical stuff so he dropped out. Downgraded to another uni for a BSc where he passed with flying colours. Got a well paying job. Got a gf. Jumped in front of a train.
